I have been using System D (in normal diesel) regularly for a year now. Smoke level reduces & so does the engine noise while idling. It also returns better mileage by 0.5 km.

Hi all My indica V2 diesel is having noise at cold condition and comes to normal condition when warmed up or ruan for 2 km...But the engine will start in single stoke of key in any cold condition even in worst rainy cold....Is it because of oil pump this happens?Car will easily catch speed and no distubances in fast riding....

Please give me a solution to reduce noise of engine...

Thanks

Vinod

glad to be of help Sairam. I'd recommend that you continue to use system D regularly ( ordinary diesel should be enough, just tank up from a pump which you know gives good fuel). I've had a positive experience using system D, as have many others, and now, you as well

hallo I am new to this thread but what is System D - I have the same problem in my IndiCA DLS

and I found this is the best option to discuss till date ,Pl.reply

Hi,

System-D is a fuel additive for diesel cars. This is recommended by TATA also. You can buy this from BP petrol pumps. You should use this with every refill i.e. for every litre of diesel you should put 1 ml of System - D. This additive should be poured first into the tank followed by the diesel. If you repeat this every time, all the impurities from the engine due to fuel adulteration would be cleared off by this additive. This will enhance your engine performance and will reduce smoke considerably. Also, there would be a very mild increase in mileage with good response in terms of acceleration.

Sairam

BTW did you lodge a written complaint with BP regarding that COCO pump?  We always suggest COCO pumps for unadulterated fuel and if this what is happening...!  Surprised

Never mind what others say, do whats right for that moment!

Hi Selva,

This happened in Jan 2009 when I was in India. I didn't lodge any complaint. Now, I am in UK.

Regards,

Sairam.
