Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo is getting revamped in the Maruti workshops. The company is replacing its current engine with a 1.5L K-series engine which marks its presence in its latest model A-star. Maruti Suzuki India Limited intends to revamp all its models as there are no upcoming models this year anymore. The company has recently launched two models in past few months viz., A-Star and Ritz. Both the models are an addition to Maruti’s already strong small car segment portfolio.

The company has withheld any plans to launch premium sedan Kizashi India. It now plans to only introduce face-lifted models of its existing products in the country. The company is revising the engine line up in all its cars in wake of the Bharat IV emission norms which will come into effect from April next year. The 1.0 Litre K Series engine makes around 67 bhp and comes with innovative technologies to reduce consumption and increase performance.

The article says 2 contradicting things. It says about the estilo having a 1.5L engine which is there in the A* while the A* has a 1.0L engine. I think its atypo and should be a 1.0L K series engine!

1.5 is too much for that small thing to handle. I would say a total rehaul of that model is quite necessary. Or atleast remove that Zen(a total shame to the original Zen) from it.

I guess you are referring to the present day Zen Estilo.  Well, it's not so. It's a nice small car & suits the requirements of many.

It wont be more than 1.2L as thats the tax rebate cut off for small engines by the government. The A* engine would come into play as it meet the new emmision norms.

The Swift petrol may well also get the KB12 Ritz petrol engine.

Its looking nice in the picture.

@Pankaj: I am replying late. The car looks odd and doesnt offer the pleasure of driving the previous two versions of zen. Also the old zen was well planted on the road and was very stable.
