If I am right then carwale text-editor has no active spell checker, which checks spelling as you type.  An alternate is:

Select all the text, you wish to spell check.  Then right click  and from the drop down menu, select check spelling, you may see some 'red' dotted underlined words depending upon ... or you can do it before you start typing.  May require to install a dictionary.

Any feedback.  I hope no one knows this  ... Kidding.

If you need to install a dictionary    This is an interesting page.  You can find dictionary for Urdu, Nepali, Sri Lanka etc.  Even language you never heard off or spoken by less than a million people, but no Hindi dictionary.

um, i think its the WYSIWYG editor which disables it. I disabled the editor itself using noscript, so no issues

I think it works just fine on windows

just install noscript addon for firefox and disable javascript for carwale.com. You might lose some other site functionality - you can temporarily enable it.

alternately, the admins can have a look at

http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Plugins/spellchecker

Or

http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Configuration/gecko_spellcheck

I prefer the second option

It's kinda weird that the Quote section doesnt have a auto spell check.

However good we are in typing..typo's are human..Dun understand the technicalities but I think thats a much needed tool.

Yes, it's essential in my opinion.  This has been suggested/discussed before too.  Hope this comes through in upgrades to be implemented soon.

Hey, There's an integrated spell-check facility if you use some advanced browsers. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for example.
