Other costs (at dealer):
Ex-Warranty - Rs. 4000~
Alloys with 14" Goodyear - Rs. 15000 (Saifre has 13" factory default)
Antirust + Teflon - Rs. 5000

RC - Rs. 10000~

Other costs (outside)
Insurance - Rs. 10000~
Jaquard Fabric Seat Covers - Rs. 1800
AutoCop 3yr warranty - Rs. 2400
Sunfilm certified Garware - Rs. 550
Pioneer 300W back tray speakers - Rs. 2800
Steering cover - Rs. 50

Total Price: Rs. 432300~

Pending stuff:
Mud Flaps
+ Let me know if I should add anything else?

We had a Zen for last 6 years and wanted a new car now.

Options were: Jazz, Punto, i10, i20, Ritz, Swift and Fabia

But I liked Safire because it got plenty space and low price.  We drive less than 400 kms a month so did not bother having Diesel or spending too much money on a hatchback.  We have Safari for long drives anyway.

I am worried about mileage thou but can check that only after 1st service.

The car is fast, comfortable and A/c is very good.  I have no complaints so far.

You can see photos in the Photos section.

cool colour and smart alloys as well. Between good to know you have no issues in the vista AC as many people were complaining about its cooling. Great choice. Congrats.

Cheers!

Here is the link to the album.

Nice looking car and snaps. The alloys are also good. I guess they are Aura.

I must the deals on the accessories are quite competitive.

Do write in your expeience with the car in detail.

Thanks.   Perhaps Tata has fixed the a/c issue on the new cars.   The a/c is quite cool and I keep the fan speed at 1 or 2.  And I have to turn it off every 10~15 mins otherwise it becomes too cool.

If the car is kept under direct sun (during noon) for 1-2 hrs then it takes some time to cool, but still is very effective.  The temprature here is 40c+ during noon.  One can bake rotis and omlette on the car bonnet

Thanks.  Its Autocop XS.  Three buttons on the remote.  To lock, unlock doors and one for flashing hazard lights of your car to locate it in a big parking area.  Very good range.  The car also locks the doors itself after 2 mins if you unlccok them by remote but don't enter.

And the doors are locked automatically a few seconds after car starts rolling but I am not sure if its Autocop feature or Tata's.  And it works just sometimes, I have to read the manual and see what it is. Maybe its a fault because sometimes the doorlocks just make a noise of locking/unlocking but does not lock.

When you turn the ignition off the doors unlock automatically.

Thanks for putting the album link here.  The Alloys are K-Speed.  I selected Aura and Tata but when dealer fitted these on the car it gave a Sporty look to it.  So I bought these instead.

I will write a detailed review soon after some more drive and a service.  But the car feels great at the moment.

Thanks Mani. TATA dealer quoted Rs.4300/- for the Autocop, probably the same model as you bought. Anyway it was a good deal. Happy Motoring!

There is no A/C issue in my Aqua QJ too. It was FEB '09 manufactured. I keep the thermostat adjustment knob at 50% cool position except during direct sunlight, even then the A/C is effective.

I am worried about mileage thou but can check that only after 1st service.

Safire generally returns mileage of 11-13 in city & 15-17 on highway (depending upon the driving conditions & style).

Thanks for the review & uploading the photos - nice those are.
