Thanks Arun K, As I knew that problem is combi switch, I had fixed an appointment with TASC and submitted my Car on 25Th @9:15am. I was expecting that the problem will be resolved in max 2 hours and I can Join to office by taking my Car. The service advisor also confirmed that problem is combi switch and he will replace at most in 1 hour. I waited patiently in customer lounge and egerly seeing that some body would attend my car and make me free. I waited till 12:00 noon and again contacted same advisor and shocked to know that they were not able to open the steering wheel (as the nut was jammed). He said he will work out ASAP. At 1:00pm I left the service centre and in way back to my office, I wrote a mail to customersuppourt@tatamotors.com through my Black Berry. Immediately the reply came and they given mobile no. of regional support Manager. I explained him the situation and he put me on conference with TASC Manager. I fired them that they would have told me that it will take more time then I would have gone to office in time. They had wasted my half day. And still the situation at 3:00pm was same. They were not able to open the steeing wheel. I said I want my car ready at 6:00 pm at my office. Later they send the car to out side garage to open the wheel??

after that combi switch was replaced (I denied to pay charges for part as well as service/labour etc straight away to regional manager) later they accepted and made a Zero value invoice. I cross checked that the switch was looking new and working properly. The issue once escaleted to higher level then the work done within 1 hour.

At last the problem is resolved and this is the way TASC works

HI All,

Have a vista TDi 24K kms.

Couple of days back other drivers in my building brought to my notice the level of my bonnet door/lid when closed. I saw that there was a big (enougn to slide my fingers through it) gap on the left side. If one looks from the left side it feels that the bonnet is not closed properly. However the right side seems ok. Am trying to post snaps of left and the right side view of bonnet for clarity.

I have no clue how this has happened and hows it to be solved. Before I go to TASC just wanted to check if there is a home fix. One of the drivers also said that this might damage the front windshield if not corrected (not sure if this is correct)

Experts, can you pls share your thoughts.

Thanks,

Manoj

Dear Manoj

This is all due to miss alignment of components (say the bonnet door) with rest of the body. This can happen over a period and offcource can be realigned at TASC. however there is a home fix

Please check two rubber suppourt studs provided at front side of your car (when you open the bonnet and stand in middle they are at either side of the middle hole. You can rotate each by clock wise/anti clock wise to adjust their height. Ideally both studs should have equal height but it again depends on the ailignment of the bonnet door. Please try adjusting both studs and see the effect.

Take care that the height should not be too less other wise the bonnet door will damage the headlight assembly.

IMO it does not damage any way to the front wind shield. Experts can give more suggestions

My car tend to move towards either side , depends on which side you turn last, Initially I thought it is towards left.

I did wheel alignment, balancing today but still the problem exists. I can see my steering vibrates slightly towards a side, mostly left.

Mine is Vista Aura Quadra Nov 2008, 35000 KM, Good year tyre stock.

Please advice.

My car has the same issue....apparantly the tyres have worn out unevenly...dont know how...blame it on improper balancing/ alignment and now the vehicle tends to pull towards one side...check your tyres and try rotating them , in my case after alignment my car was pulling towardws the left....i went back to the alignment place and the guy put the left on the right and the Right tyre on the left and the issue was sorted out to an extent. the steering wheel is not straight now...i have to get the tyres changed...feel kinda bad coz they look good have a fair amount of grip. so check and see maybe you have the same issue.

Dear Rens and Bigben

Get the tyres checked first from a reputed tyre shop. In my case also I had 3-4 times alignment and balancing, still there were similar issues as yours. Lastly TASC proven that it is because of the stock tyres (Goodyear GT3) I logged the complaint with Goodyear and upon inspection 3 tyres were found faulty (belt separation and bulging). I got replacement of 3 tyres at aroung 30% cost. Goodyear GT3 on Vista is not successful. Many owners had complaint related to stock tyres. So check the tyres first.

I dunno if I can still do this coz my car is 2+ years old now. in fact when I was getting this done the TASC guys did not tell me to lodge a complaint or anything. Guess I have to learn from this and take corrective action the next time
