Actually all dealers have received e-mail asking them to report immediately the details of the cars wherein the AC problem have been reported by the owners.

Edit: So ensure that your dealer forwards your case/complaint.

Issues and concerns on My Vista ( am a happy Vista owner)

1. A screaming sound while applying breakes in the Morning, Didn't hear the noise when on road, though.   Need to check with service engineer in the next service.
2. An irritating sound while going over speed breakers,Got rectified in the first service. They
told they lubricated it now. Now it is clocked 8K+, the noise came back, but once in a while.
3. some kind of vibrating noise (is it rattling) when moving slowly on second gear on half cluth.   partly solved in 2nd service, still the noise is there at a minimum level. I am changing gear appropriately now.
4. AC went nob (upper, both sides) dipped down a bit, (may be the unit itself). I think this happened by poor work done by service guy when he tried to fix the   vibrating noise (as I explained in item 3.he told he removed that part to check the issue)
5.Some kil-kil noise when driving over bad roads and potholes. may be item 3 and 4 are causing this issue. Poor work by service guys may be.
6.I doubt the co-passenger seat has some fitting problems, it gives some noise while driving on bad roads/potholes when a co-driver is there no noise
7. Some thud noise from rear when stopping with a 'press on break' (not a sudden break infact).
Am I hearing a 'watery noise' from rear, some thing similar when you shake a bottle which is half filled?

To me, AC had no issues, though cooling is not that fast.No other issues. Only first 2 are the real issues here.
and I am happy with Vista, and all are praising for its space inside.

But the bad thing is Service. None of them in Bangalore are customer orineted.may be they are not able to.

Today my outside rear-view mirror got crashed by a bus, when he tried to occupy my side. Though I stopped my car fully to let him go, he took a piece of my car.
I called sevice cneters for a replacement, one center doesnt have the part, other have but no piant shop for them to make it cavern grey.Third has both but for a higher price.
Later I deicided (after talking with all parties, not finalysed yet), will buy the mirror from one, and will get it painted from other. (GOD knows if they have the matching paint with them.)

rens, if you have the old broken mirror, and if the painted plastic is intact, i think you will be able to dismantle  and seperate it. Just swap it with the new mirror and save the cost of painting it

thats what I did with my old indica

Rens, My father was also facing problems 1 to 3 mentioned by you.

Here are the solutions --

1. It is due to rainy season. Lubricate your braking system.

2. Repair your shock absorber.

3. Check the portion where gear handle enters the gear box. Some plastic components are there which may be damaged.

And not in Bangalore, every where the behaviour of service people is very bad. It is not for TATA Motors only. Many car company service people have bad behaviour in India. We have to live with that. So the moral of the story is - just get the issues fixed from the service people by trying and trying again Smile.

Thanks.

Roy

painted plastic (holder) is not in tact, infact, I am not sure if it can be fixed steady.Do you really recomend it, as , I think, painiting cost may be a max 300.

do you have any idea about , how do they get the matching paint? I am worried by the statement 'we need 2 hrs to make the paint' by the service guy. what does it mean, do they able to make a matching paint?

S Roy, thanks for sharing your views.

for #2, I think lubricatiing the part is enough, right?

#3, I think it is not  because of gear issue, either the seat is not fitted properly, (if a co-driver there, no noise yaar). Other noises arefrom somewhere around dash 1. from center console, may be some srews are loose, read #4 and #5) 2. Vibrating noise when drive slowly in second gear.

anyways, I will ask them to ceck portion where gear handle enters the gear box as per your advice.

still, I love my car, there is something special about it, may be soft clutch, space inside, or lower EMI for this class.

Rens, the watery noise might be due to a half filled diesel tank. Check for the noise after a full tank.

Regarding co-passenger seat noise, change the position of the seat (front or back) and check for the noise. Ensure that the seats are properly locked in that position, as in aqua, the seats gets locked one sided. Just sit on the seat and give a gentle shake Wink. You can feel it gets locked on both sides.

rens, really cant say without seeing your mirror. it was intact for me, and You may be able to put it back with some superglue if it is purely cosmetic, and not a stressed component. Try playing around with your broken ORVM assembly

I think so, but everbody laugh at me when I raised this , may be the thud from rear also may be the same.
anybody knows, how they get the matching paint? are they 'making' it?

since you are getting the ORVM painted, small shade mismatches wont be obvious. only in case of touch ups should you be worried.

yes, shade matching metallic paint is not an easy task. On the other hand, its a piece of cake for solid shades. Would you believe I've spray painted and patches my white indica myself with spray paint

so, greenhorn, I can buy the OVRM from one shop and paint it by other, nothing much to worry right? still why one shop is asking for more price for the part?

and about your painting exp, I am not that bold enugh boss , in fact mine is cavern grey , so any such 'spraying' may have more visibility there?

btw, whcih car you own now?
