Hi,

I am planning buy my first car. My preference is for Indica diesel.

But I am confused between indica non turbo & turbo model. Please suggest me the good one. I need a car with good mileage, low maintenance & VFM.

Thanks,

Ranjit Dangare

Welcome to carwale Ranjit. go in for turbo. the non turbo does not perform as good as the turbo one. More power and good performance is what you get from the indica turbo against the non turbo one. Between why not mention your budget and other constraints/preferences for buying your car. I am sure you can get a better car. ALso have a look at the vista than the indica. a better car in all respects and a real VFM

Thanks for suggestion.

My budget is up to 4 lacks on road.

Turbo engine definitely gives more power, but i heard that it requires more maintenance, a bit noisy and little less mileage compare to non turbo model.

Thanks,

Ranjit

its a bit noisy but not that high on maintenance. What is your monthly running? is it above 1000kms? Better to go in for petrol if you have a run less than 1000kms a month

It may be more or less to 1000kms. But I feel that diesel cars more economic to drive. So that I can drive more with diesel car.

Indica non turbo will not work for me?

its not about not working. it will definitely work for you but since you have the option for the turbo, you might as well prefer that. why not go in for a car that performs better than the other and also in your budget

Hi,

I used Non turbo and I must say driving Non Turbo is No Fun, poor initial pick-up. If turbo option is available than buy an Indica Turbo.

Mileage of Non turbo is slight better(1/1.5kmpl).

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

So it means for non turbo model there is lack of initial pick-up only.

But except initial pick-up, is the overall drive good?

So if I am ok with initial pick-up, is it worth for non turbo one?

I mean if non turbo good enough (except pick-up), why need to compromise with less mileage & little more maintenance of turbo.

I suggest you to take a test drive of Both and feel the difference. Driving pleasure is missing in Non Turbo and you will feel when you will drive Turbo.

Is non turbo is still available?
