@ Punithiyer , just wait for official launch of both cars. Initial reports say that both are good cars nothing more than that . Also pricing of Figo is yet to come. So too early say anything for anyone .

Polo finally launched with an impressive price tag of Rs. 4.33 L (Petrol) in Delhi!

@ Ashish .. thanks for your reply. Heard from Ford dealer that Figo will be Rs. 3.5 -4.5 lac ex-showroom Mumbai. They were requesting me to make a booking payment and also that the first delivery of cars will be rolled out by March 2nd week.

@ Punithiyer , No need to book any car before its launch. I think you can get brief TD report of Figo on Zigwheels. Also Polo India get is not the same sold in Europe . Only thing intact is its build quality & ride .It is also noisy compare to others available on Indian road.( brief TD report on NDTV ).

@Deb.Gupta

If 1.6liter engine will be made available in the Polo, then that is the car to go for. Hope they launch it soon in the Indian market.

@ Giant - Regarding Polo: yups 1.6 lit looks good, priced attractively for the 1.6 lit segment.. However they should have beefed up the 1.2 lit with a few more features at a slightly more attractive (read lower) price. It does not feel right to pay more and build up some features from the accessory shop (like music system, keyless entry or the programmable entry thingy). They can do a wee bit more at the existing cost is my feel..

Totally agree on that, punith. The sad part is that there are some people, even though it is not fully equipped, will go ahead and buy the car.

I feel the ride quality & overall dynamics of the car are amazing and worth every penny to account for.

The 1.2 Diesel is the next big thing in India.

Lets hope VW keeps its promise to improve the service network....

At lower end, Ritz beats it; At middle end, new Swift beats it; At higher end, i20 beats it. On-paper observations.

A test drive is needed.
