Xeta Petrol & LPG have not been very successful.  They are not known to be trouble-free cars.  Besides, I understand Xeta is very likely to be discontinued.

Indica DLS/Diesel would be a better choice than the other two.  It is sluggish with AC on.  Gives good mileage 17-18 in city & 22-23 on highway (depending upon the driving conditions & style). It is spacious/comfort & has lower maintenance cost than Xeta.

If budget can be stretched a little (by 50-60K or so), Vista TDi (diesel) would be a much better car (turbo engine) than Indica DLS (non-turbo).  Vista has other advantages like even more space/comfort & better interiors/features.

better to stay away from the XETA. Not that good a car. As mentioned by Pankaj have a look at the vista. its a VFM car and good in performance as well. In LPG/CNG models you have the spark, santro, Wagon-R etc. But if you do not have a very high run do not opt in for LPG/CNG as the maintenance cost is higher

Besides, performance on LPG will not match with that on diesel/petrol.  LPG cars do have some issues/problems (I'm not aware of finer details) - aren't as trouble-free as diesel/petrol.

LPG/CNG engines over heat. It causes the valves to wear out faster and need to be replaced. SO the higher maintenance. Apart from that lubrication is also somewhat an issue
