Hi ,

Was just comparing the Jazz with its rivals.And On reaching "specs" and then Engine --then Engine type--for Honda it says "SOCH-i-vtec" ,it should have been SOHC I-vtec and not SOCH.

(HAd a good laughter though..i was sitting and comparing with my cousin and we were discussing engines and engine technologies, and my cousin read it and Exclaimed ---" SOCH !!!(Imagine !!)) I-VtEC !!!

OT: One of the typists in my Department is in a habit of typing 'Manger' (instead of Manager).  His fingers just can't type that word right - now thanks to 'auto correct'. Earlier it went unnoticed in various notes/communications sent. LoL.

@ Banwari, I suggest if you can arrange to get all the data/info on Research Section checked & updated once.  In a few cases, as you know, a few specifications aren't available.

@Pankaj--Ha-ha,thanks to the "Auto-correct" life is much easier now.

@BAn, Yes i was about to suggest you the same. Specially when a car is new, a lot of specifications are missing, which is pretty okay in the beginning but then as time passes by if they remain "un-updated" it looks as if its an  " i don't know", when compared with other cars. 

Example with reference to the link-Jazz is Brand new, so its perfectly acceptable. But with the i-20 i think it could have been better.

this is with respect to the incomplete and incorrect data in our database. There are many places where the details are incomplete. Many of the cars have been in the markets for long and these details need to be updated. Also in  some other places the data is incorrect for e.g the RPM reading for Power for Linea petrol is given at 4000rpm which is actually for the diesel version. For petrol its 6000 RPM. We need to get these small issues removed as many people reply on the data in carwale. I request the MODS/ADMINS to take this as a high priority task and get it done asap. This is just my attempt in making carwale error free. Please do not take it otherwise.

I also noticed that at some places (For example Wagon R) the features of older variants are listed ...please correct it ASAP.

The database is being updated - under process.  It will take some time. 

Banwari will be able to give you further update/details.

I have renamed this thread. Let's use this thread for reporting any discrepancy that you feel is there in CW car database. I will make sure that we resolve the error within three working hours, starting from tomorrow itself. Meanwhile, I am on the database errors and the team is working on correcting it.
