@Singham, get the fuel pump checked.

S = k.I^2, where S is the amount of stupidity a species possesses, I is the intelligence the species has and k is the universal constant of stupidity.

@Singham, This is exactly what happened to me. If the RPM is below where turbo kicks in then the car would not accelerate depending on load & slope of road. I have changed my habit of changing gears based on rpm & load in the car. I have also noticed that the rpm at which turbo kicks in varies with every service ( I may be wrong here). Before second service it was before 1800rpm & now it is almost at 2000rpm. How much the car was loaded when this happened?

When this happened, there were only 2 people in the car including me and no extra load.

However, I went to my service station yesterday and two service advisors took the test drive. First person experienced some problem and said that there could be some slippage in the clutch but when second advisor took the test drive, he couldn't found any problem. The car went upto 140KMPH with normal acceration. He told me that there is no accerator cable in swift. The signal from the accerator pedal is communicated to the ECM through 2 sensors. Sometimes these sensors are faulty but in that case, a light will lit up on your dashboard. But still he got the car scanned and found no problem with the sensors.

I am going on a long drive in the next week and will see if the problem shows up again.

Many have this problem of reduced accelaration after 30-40k kms.

My solution -

Check the emission levels of the car.

Check this at idle, 1500 rpm, 2500, 3500, 4500, etc.

Make a note of all these.

Post it here so that we can see if any issue is there.

Coming to the service part -

Checking all the sensors is the first thing to do.

If it is not resolved then You can start off by getting a decarbonising done.

If that does not resolve the issue use the selania Engine oil from the Tata - Fiat service centres.

These are specially made for the multijet engines.

If none of these resolve the issue then the injectors & the Rail pressure needs to be checked.

hi,

my swift d is 20k. i have only one problem in the 5th gear.

when i shift to the 4th gear i acelearate till 80km\h then i change to 5th in this duration my turbo has kiccked in and the car has touched 80km\h on 4th. now when i go to shift to 5th the speed drops to 60km\h  the engine looses all steam the vehicle actually vibrates funnily and after 2 or 5 seconds it then moves properly. this always occurs when i am on a slight slope and also the roads are open without traffic.
