Dear selva & Binoy,
some reasons why paint protection is needed
1> to protect from sunlight UV rays & radiation
2> to protect from salt in moisture ( places like mumbai), dust & grime.
3> to protect from Rainwater impurities, slush.
4> to protect from emission from other cars.
New paint tachnology has clearcoat, what needs to be looked into is the manufacturing where the shell has been painted couple of months before it is actually fitted on to the chassis & then the journey to the dealer & finally to us. This is one of the reasons why dealers offer Teflon.
Teflon is PTFE ( polytetrafluroethylene) which can stand high temperatures, is water resistant & forms a sealing on the surface. Wax is helpful but not much useful against the given factors that affect paint .
As Car lovers it is always advisable to find shelter, shade for our cars.
The 4 step process impressed me as it removes , prevents, protects & gives that showroom finish( my last post) .
I keep doing my own little research , I would like to know about Full molecular jacket can anyone help.
