Sandeep the two cars in question were very well comparable.

As far as looks and comfort are taken,INNOVA is a clear winner.

More fun to drive is a scorpio,Atleast i dont feel like a cab driver like in inovas' case.Innocent

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

well first thing the scorpio and the innova are in two seperate segments and does there is not that much as a competition as between the Xylo and the Innova.

anyway i wud say the scorpio is far better than the innova and if given a choice between the scorpio and the innova then i wud go for the scorpio.

Innova is a good car and there is no doubt about that. But Innova cannot do what Scorpio can do. Scorpio is not just a comfortable city car but it is also an adventure car. This article I found is very nice

hi friends..i am driving my new m-hawk for last 4 months now and i am totally in love with this beast..no doubt that innova is very good family car but when it comes to raw pleasure of crushing bad roads under the wheels nothing can compare the power of scorpio.I have driven scorpio mostly on the roads of delhi and it is very easy to drive and control scorpio even in heavy traffic and i am getting mileage of 12kmpl with 100% a.c

Technically speaking the scorpio is a superior car as far as  engine power is concerned and the innova may well be ahead than the scorpio in terms of comfort which the scorpio is not bad at all, the one thing to look for is performance of both the cars today.

the scorpio is indeed the ideal choice for things such as adventures or offroading. The scorpio is a complete SUV and also that the scorpio has been really really successful in the indian marketas, but the innova and the scorpio come in two seperate segments of cars. The innova is as earlier posted is only good for city roads and smooth highways, and the car cannot be seen by anyone doing adventures and offroading.

I am using Opel Corsa for last 5 yrs 3 months and want to switch to a SUV. I drove a friends' Innova (2008 high end model) two weeks back, and found it's as easy to drive as a i10. The air-conditioning is good, the car easily picks up speed, as well as breaking is good. Overall after about half hour / 15 kms of driving around Whitefield, Bangalore during the evening, I was not at all tired. When I drove my Corsa back home later in the evening, I felt it's very 'hard' to drive !

Carwale arranged a test drive of Scorpio mHawk last week. The dealer did not bring AT version though the person who came over said AT version is "no fun" and you don't feel "in command". I drove Scorpio for about 30 mins/ 20 kms on the outer ring road. The air-conditioner is powerful, maneuvering is surprisingly easy, Scorpio picks up speed probably faster than Innova and breaking is powerful. And, without any doubt, Scorpio RULES THE ROAD. I observed that even Honda City, Toyota Corolla, Sumos, BMTC buses .. all make way for the Scorpio besides two and three wheelers ! The gear- box however was pathetic, I am told it's because it was a 'test drive' vehicle. After the drive, however, I felt tired, though I drove at 11 AM on a Saturday ! Overall the Scorpio does not seem to be a very "comfortable" car to drive.

My wife and kids liked the Scorpio though from the second row. (They could have liked Innova as well, since the visibility is much better than Corsa/ Sedan).

The new Scorpio is really loaded with features vs Innova, and the looks simply ROCK ! The price of high end 2 wheel drive with air bags is 2 lacs + less than Innova with same/ less features.

I am now in two minds- chose beauty or the beast? The beast seems attractive than the beauty in this case ;-)
