Anybody know the CNG/LPG details for Fiat Palio Style 1.1 SLX?

how much mileage it will give?

how much will it cost?

Can the kit be fitted without affecting vechicle's interior space?

will it effect the performace?

with CNG the mileage will increase while with LPG the mileage will decrease but LPG is cheaper and hence the lower running cost. The interior space will not be affected but the boot space will definitely be.

LPG Kit may cost in the range of 18-22K while CNG around 40K.  LPG/CNG Kits have car-specific approvals - check for the ones that are approved for your car/model.

Mileage (kms) on LPG increases - say from 10 on petrol to 12 (LPG) while the same on CNG reduces from 10 on petrol to 8 (CNG).  However, running cost is much cheaper on CNG - for obvious reasons (cheaper fuel).  Maintenance cost on LPG will be a little higher than Petrol - in long term.  The same on CNG will be even higher.  There will also be some performance/power-loss - on LPG & CNG (more in CNG).

Sorry for the mix-up.  Please read the above quoted text as under...

I have heard from users of CNG kit that the mileage increase is in the tune of 30-40%. Wagon-R, Santro gives the mileage of 18-20 in CNG. All the best.

I don't have ownership experience of CNG & LPG.  But I feel the rise in the mileage isn't so high.  It may not exceed 15-16 in city (WagonR/Santro).  Nevertheless, the fact is that it's fuel efficient (mileage) & very economical (running cost).

But do you really want to convert the Palio 1.1 to LPG / CNG. Please note that this car as such is low on power with petrol. So, with CNG / LPG option, it will get worser - Pick-up will reduce even more.

Last week only I converted my Palio Stile 1.1 SLX to LPG. Seems to be ok.  There is a lag in initial pick-up.  After crossing 30kmph speed the response is good.  RPM also stands between 20 and 30. Yet to be tested in highways around Chennai.
