Pumpe duse is actually VGT thing.

oops.. i am getting a little confused now ....

Pumpe Duse was being discussed in relation with CRDI technology.

So lets take an example to get it cleared....

Skoda uses PD technology.

And in Hyundai Verna,CRDI is used...and it VGT.

So are the two any different or again .. its the "Name Game" ??.

I dont know why people give out wrong information here at least do some research on google its so easy to do so before providing information to innocent people who trust these blogs blindly.

I am referring to the PumpDuse issue which some guy says its same as VGT(Variable Geometry Trubo). Pump Duse means separate Pump and Injector for every engine cylinder block. It was VW and Skodas way of competing with the CRDI technology, the battle which they lost with the advent of Fiats MJD engine having VGT,CRDI and it spurts fuel in the combustion chamber 5 times a cycle with the help of piezo wafers(same what is used in your watch, piezo or quartz crystals) PumpDuse has a problem with emission and cant keep up with the precision, and fineness of Bosch technology used by fiat. Fiat already got the engine of the year award for the MJD engine (a less tehnological replica of the same is being used in Swift Diesel, it spurts out fuel 3 times in a cycle) . Might be what I have written here is not understandable to a common person, he can mail me at amit_purohit20@rediffmail.com.
