i am going on a vacation to singapore this month with my family & planning to buy Nikon D5000 DSLR , as i was told the electronic items are very cheap @ singapore.

Please let me know where I can buy the DSLR @ Singapore for a good price.

Check out for Nikon D3100, it is the latest model from Nikons' stable. I guess you were targeting the Singapore Expo or something which am not not getting it right. Better try to get it from US in this Christmas/New Year Sale. You may end up saving a lot of bucks.

D5000 is 2009 Model & D3100 is 2010 Model.

Have been offline for quite a long time and it has been 9 months for me in Ozland. The update from me as far as cameras go by is that I have bought a Canon 7D with 15-85 mm IS USM lens. I have also bought a Tamron 70-300mm VR USD lens.

Really happy with this kit - awesome camera, the best quality picture, some can quality an entry to magazines according to me. Only drawback - the camera itself is more than a kilo and with a lens with a USM motor, it makes is even more heavier, so, lifting it for any significant duration is a tiring exercise.

Really happy with the kit.
