Interpreting VIN/chassis number - LETS HELP EACH OTHER

I will post it once I take delivery of the newly alloted car before end of this week.

Hi wildon,

Saturday I got delivry of my car on 26th (it was ready for delivery on 19th itself, but i took i on 26th). VIN is MALAM51BLAM648797. I've interpreted month and year of mfg i.e May'10. How do i know date of mfg. Will you be able to help me.

I don't think the VIN number provided is correct as the last time i decoded for a serial 189718 and it was manufactured on 17.06.2010.  Now you are quoting the serial as 195441, So from 17th June to 30th June Hyundai produced 5723 i20 vehicles !!, IMPOSSIBLE.

This is the VIN number which was provided by the SE. I've cross checked it with the SE twice. The car might be in the yard by a week. Will check it on person. However, is it possible to get the other info associated with the VIN?

Infact there are producing more than that . As we were talking at that day, i think your vehicle was getting assembled  there.
