Sanat, I recommended i10 if your driving distance is not much, say if it is 15-20 KM a day then you would definitely go for Petrol. i10 has the latest petrol engines and are close to a gen ahead of the wagon r ones so you can expect better fuel efficiency certainly...

In my case I had to go in for WR duo because my driving distance everyday is close to 55 KMs. so LPG makes a lot of sense for me and keeps my wallet happy Laughing...Also as I mentioned ingress and egress out of car was a big factor for me, something which wagon r is very very suitable for...There is nothing wrong with wagon r except for the initial gear problems which get rectified after a few services,,,,also as Pankaj mentioned high speed performance is slightly suspect, but then again I rarely will do long trips and will keep my speed below 100...

Plus wagon r looks is always a moot point. For me economy, VFM and space trumped looks, BTW I kind of like WR's looks, its gender neutral Cool

i10 is a better car - not that WagonR isn't good.  Both have pros & cons (like all cars do).

If you are confused, please take test-drives again - with family I insist - and go for the one that suits you all in all.

the above statement is very subjective. My observations post the TD were quite objective. can u be more objective if possible please.

True - but is summarised based on the discussions we all have had.

Please tell me what aspect/s you wish I should elaborate - I will definitely do.

I guess the verdict is more or less unanimously in favour of I 10. I cannot ignore the opinion of so many experienced people. My mind and heart is now veering towards I 10 now.

Thanks everyone for your valuable inputs.

Sanat, looks like I noticed this thread quite late!

Have you given a thought to Indica V2 Xeta?

I thought your original intent was to have a car that was low on initial investment and running, and should be spacious. Indica V2 Xeta is about 60k less than i10 and ~50k less than Wagon R. Is spacious like a barn and not very bad on parts availability or service.

It may not be an 'exciting' car like the newer introductions, but satisfies what you were looking for in the car to begin with, before getting taken up by the admiration for i10... wot u say?
