Ranjith do post all your concerns here, personal discussion is not the way forward for such a forum.

Also avoid posting in SMS language.-Thanks.

Dude, as someone who drove an Accord for 2 years I can assure you it scores really well on all fronts especially the maintenance. All I spent apart from oil change in 2 years was 45$ for new front brake pads. Thats it!! Reliability at its best....I would pick Accord over Passat any day!

@ Pankaj & Binoy ,

How you rate Passat Manual against Jetta Auto ? Which is better buy when price difference is around 4 lacs ( on road ) although both are in differnt segment.

Today i have driven both as one of my friend is thinking to buy Jetta( Auto)  Rs 18.47 Lacs on road  where as Passat ( Manual ) is Rs 22.25 lacs on road .

Car will be used both in city as well as on highway & will be shauffer driven most of the time .

Normally Passat Manual is not sold by major VW dealer & dealer has got just one car now.

Throw some light on positives & negatives of both . My personal opinion is to go for Passat as budget is not a problem .

... (I've not driven Passat).

I have still not driven Passat nor have I had the opportunity to drive Jetta.  But yes, I understand Passat is a better car (engine/performance) than Jetta.  If budget is not a constraint, it should obviously be the choice.
