any product that is launched earlier .. creates its own place in the market with a little bit more ease ..and becomes a bench mark .. for comparison .. with similar products launched later.. but the interesting point to note her is that ..fiat palio stile was already there in the market with a similar engine and lesser price.. so why inspite of this swift gained an upper hand.. well thats the thing that makes swift stand a bit differently .. than vista or palio stile..! people think its better.. well this thinking.. psychology will take some more time to change.. particularly in our indian society .. for the reason i have already mentioned in the begining.. i hope you folks get my point..!

dude swift diesel hit the market much earlier than palio multijet followed by indica vista.

That's a good sign for Vista - mainly on account of QJD (Diesel).

In recent time i have seen much more ads of Vista in print media . Also they are offering discounts on all Vista models ( almost in the range of 20k - 25 k ). This will definitely help them to increase Vista numbers.

I too agree that the advertising efforts for the Vista have not been upto the mark. I only find a single advertising on TV that they started before launching the car. As per the number of cars, I find quite a few Vistas here in Kolkata, although the number is far less than the Swift or the Indica variants released prior to the Vista. Personally, I feel that people are taking some time to go through all the aspects of the car before making a decision. In fact, the Swift has been a tough player in the market for quite a long time now and the Vista just needs to establish that dependable image so as to increase it's sales figure. Also the fact that Tata has used the Indica name has been a probable setback. Although it's a facelift of the previous versions and shares almost nothing in common with the existing Indica, the name should have been changed for better results. The Vista needs now to accquire a firm position in the market, which seems to  be taking some time.

hello!

The TATAs might have realised that.  Now, you see in the advertisements, they are quoting the name as "VISTA", not "Indica Vista".

Also Tata must changed atleast rear tail light to give Vista a complete new look so that people can differentiate between Indica & Vista . This will really help  Vista to position above other hatchback in its segment.
