@Binoy We are a small family of 3. And I am really looking forward to not selling my first car. So as you rightly pointed out..m not very concerned on resale value. What my need is decent, troublefree experience from the first car that I own. If it is also fuel efficient then nothing like it. Also there is some status aspect my spouse is looking forward to. So I think I will probably book i10. Only exception to this may be if maruti launches ritz in may and it is priced compared to i10.

That's a good decision (i10 vs Ritz).

i10 (Kappa) is the best amongst the other cars discussed.  Ritz may not be available immediately on launch.

i10 Magna 1.2 (under consideration) & Ritz LXi are evenly priced.  i10 has much better features/all features - have a look at the comparison.

I haven't driven Ritz - so am unable to comment on performance & other aspects.

@Pankaj...Seems like Ritz is much bigger car than i10. Features can be added later but not space. What do u think?

Very true - but not all features.

Space/comfort, in my opinion, is more important - it also makes you safer inside the car.  However, i10 is sufficiently spacious/comfortable - better than many.

One should take all aspects in to consideration concurrently.

@Pankaj...true.

I will take TD of Ritz and then decide between them. However if delivery period is too long for it..then i10 i guess.

@Parag

If you are taking Ritz Lxi ( or even Vxi without ABS), delivery wont take much time. Delay in delivery is only for the diesel models.

The new petrol engine of Ritz is peppy when compared to i10 and gives a good mileage(18 kmpl average).

But since you are on a tight budget, i recommend you to i10 1.2 Magna. It gives the following features

Central Locking
Remote Fuel-Lid
Steering Adjustment
Tachometer
Child Safety Locks
Power windows

Except the Power Windows, the rest canot be fitted from after market.
