I understand it will launched during Diwali time.  ABS & Airbags may follow subsequently (going by past trend of Tata).  Pricing will be higher than Indigo DiCOR (can't say how much).

Pankaj as i heard in Pune it will be out around June or July.

Regarding ABS & Airbags i seriously doubt. Indigo XL doesnt have it till date.

What is assured is a good car , good mileage , good space , tank like build quality , terrible service , value for money , good selling numbers Cool

June/July was their original plan.  I'm told by the local dealer that the launch is postponed until Diwali on account of thrust put on Nano. Anyway, the earlier the better.

By the past trend (ABS & Airbags), I mean like they added those to Turbo DLX (since discontinued). The current Vista I understand will soon have those once Tata start exporting Vistas - will be available domestically too.  Like-wise, Indigo Vistas too may be launched without ABS/Airbags & added subsequently thereafter.

why are the tata guys are not specificaly interested about the safety features like airbags and abs?

if they give those in vista it will be a still  more good VFM.

only god have to make tata guys think of airbag and abs in their models.

Tata's trump card is VFM and being price sensitive-ABS and airbags would drive the price advantage that their cars enjoys otherwise when compared to the competition.

Why is it not VFM?

Tata cars are truly 'More car per Car'. They offer more for than any other cars in the same price range.

With the vista being launched i can agree to a certain extent that what you say is correct. I maybe wrong in what i said but it will be a great help if you mention in deep when you say "More car per Car" for TATAs as compared to other cars in the same price range.

Vista's comfort/space/price is not matched by many cars in its price range.

Rather the comfort and space is matching with even sedans.

The diesel version 'TDi' is an economical solution.

Quadrajet offers more than Swift diesel.

etc etc....

Even if you leave vista out of the picture. Indica a top 10 selling car became a hit because of the VFM factor. 'Taxi' ppl look into that. It is/was the cheapest car to drive.

Indigo CS was the only affordable 'sedan' until the launch of new Ikon.

Sumo / Safari / Grande etc etc.....

The main headache with Tata's were service network and they are improving on them.

Another big one would be look of the interiors. It does look cheap even in the safari.
