Warm welcome to CarWale.

Viraj, I think it is a lil too early to plan as even the allotment is not out.

Plus I haven't checked the speaker pods and provision for sub. Give me some time for that.

Maybe Binoy would be able to help you.

In the meantime do post your preferences.

Provision/Wiring for music system is provided in all versions of Nano.

Viraj there are provision for the HU but i did not see any provisions for speakers-so installing then would be custom.

I guess there will a lot of kits available for the Nano in the aftermarket-so that would also be an option.

Rear tray will also play a smaller role because of the rear engined design.

The seat riders are quite tall so it would be easy to install a shallow mount sub under the seat.

Dear Binoy, Would you be able to give us some technical data like what kind of speakers/sub/head will be best suited for a small car like Nano. Also, please advise some brands.

Well Mithoon the Nano comes with a single DIN slot for the HU-so any single DIN HU would work just fine.

As there are no provisions for the speakers(even in the top of line LX) custom enclosures would have to be made.

The usual position would be the door pads but i guess that would only take shallow mount speakers.

Another interesting location seems to be front cubby holes-a part of it can be isolated and would be great for mounting a 5.25" speakers(something like the arrange in the older santros).

While going for amplifier and subs-the aspect that would be peculiar for the Nano would be weight-the car as such weighs 600kg while a mid level amp and sub with enclosure would come about 30Kg !.

Mounting the sub would be easy as there would be ample amount of space under the front seat(the battery occupies the under surface of one of the seats-so drawing power lines will also be easy).

The budget and brands for the Nano remains similar to the options available in the open market so generalisations on the same would be hard.

Sony is a low rung player in terms of car audio-there are better HU's for the same price.

-Illusions are good but not very VFM-at that price range the Hertz/rainbow etc are better.

-the volume does affect sound quality but that does not mena that the largest volume box would be best-each speaker will have a ideal playing volume.

-the drain on the electricals will be an unkown as the car is yet to be launched-so we will have o wait and see.
