Another clever thing that Honda did is with the OEM Audio system - They have given the audio system HU a different shape which means that you cannot get it out and go for other 2 DIN systems from other manufacturers - Any problems with the deck and you can get it sorted out only at the Honda garage !!! This one doesn't even have a USB.

This car was eagerly awaited by a lot of people and it has gone disappointing for:

1. Puny 1.2 liter engine

2. No Alloys, no parcel trays

3. Over-priced

4. OEM implements like the stereo HU.

I think this list is enough for people to stay away from this one irrespective of this one being tagged as a "practical car" with "magic seats" - If a car is designed only for storage space and lugging plants, ladders - what not and what not around, and designed to store more luggage in a versatile fashion, it better be called a pick-up truck !!! And this one is supposed to be a car. And the engine isn't inspiring either !!

For an executive in India, I don't think there would ever be a need to carry luggage along for more than 5 or 6 times a year. And even if you do have a necessity to do so, they can easily opt for a sedan !! Just cannot understand the logic for this one !!

This one is a serious serious disappointment. It is OK to consider the brand name and consider the build quality, but certainly not at this price !!

Regards,
K Prasad

Very True K.P. infact Honda City too is overpriced but not to that extent. So many good options are available why a Jazz? Ford Fiesta 1.6, Linea, SX4 etc.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Indeed the car has started with a lag.

The hefty price tag brought down all the excitement. We will have to wait and see on how the sales are going to happen.

apart from the price and non alloys now we have the stereo which cannot be replaced by any other stereo. To add to it no USB!!!What was honda thinking while launching this?

An accident is generally the result of a screw loose in the nut behind the steering wheel

which cannot be replaced by any other stereo.

It can be done with a fascia. Anyways that would take some time for it to be available in the market.

8.28L on the road Mumbai. I appreciate that Honda had enough guts to do this. Rumours of Honda pricing the car very high had been there and I had heard somebody saying that Honda is doing this intentionally and they are not looking at big sales numbers. It would really be interesting to see Honda Jazz sales figures.

Add another one lakh and you drive home the much known, much bigger (at least perception), sedan bodytype "City"! You can convince only a few  I love quality vehicles but if I was out to buy a car, even I wouldn't have considered Honda Jazz. There are obvious choices in terms of small as well midsize cars in the given price range.

Somebody in Honda has played a costly gamble... From the pricing, I can only speculate that Jazz will only serve as a bait for the hatchback customers to lure them finally with Honda City... The thinking would be "If I have come thus far, for 70k more I can get a much bigger and better car, so why not?" Prabodh Kelkar thought just that...

What the poor customer won't understand that he/she would have bypassed so many VFM sedans in the lineup when s/he hops from Jazz to City - it's pure psychology....

Honda is expecting a sales figure of around 2500 Jazz / month.Yes it is overpriced by Rs 75000 . However it is way above over all other hatchbacks. Quality of interiors & space are unmatched. It is in fact better than new Honda City. Price & under powered engine are its negatives. However FE would be in the range of 15 - 18 ( combined city & highway). As mentioned in their ads - ONE LIFE , WHY SO SERIOUS ? so one should not be worried about price !! , in stead of go with 8 lacs & add Jazz in one's life!!. As a product it is simply superb. I had a test drive of it yesterday. Ashish Naik.
