Advance Booking for Honda Jazz

Have posted the cover story of Honda Jazz from Autocar India May 2009. This should be enough for now to keep all of your mouth shut till the car is launched.

Don't be a kanjoos ! Go for good quality stuff instead of cheap tacky and Low society cars.

So what's the point? Deciding unilaterally that the Jazz only is good quality and whosoever is not opting for it is kanjoos is kinda pulling wool over own's eyes. Refusing to acknowledge that it is the costliest hatch in a market saturated with choice, and trashing others on quality is not going to cut it at all.

Read the article atleast man. Quality does come at a premium. If they price it low, every tom dick and harry is going to buy it. And thats what they don't want ! Thats the point - thats called class !

On a more serious note-the autocar test is done on a UK spec model, the Jazz is just an average quality Supermini-want a quality Supermini wait for the Polo!

Hope you didn't hurt yourself. A honda falls into the "premium" hatchback segment. So it is 'high society' so to speak for those who try to compare it with a Maruti or Tata.

Honda Jazz competes with cars like Mazda2, the Toyota Yaris, and the Nissan Micra abroad. Even a Polo wouldn't beat its features.  Why wait for a Polo when you have a Fabia from the same parent VW? But I wouldn't choose either coz it doesn't fit my requirements.

Avoid quoting the preceding post-MODS

It is really sad that people make a mockery of Indian cars (Maruti in this case). Even Maruti cars comes with safety and luxury features like ABS, Airbags, climate control, etc. They(SWIFT, SX4, etc) are in no way bad compared to the Hondas and Toyotas

Can they justify the higher cost in Jazz' case? If not, I think Honda is exploiting the public by pricing it high. They know that there are people who are crazy about the Honda name and would do anything to own a Honda(like paying 7L for a hatch).

deepak do you own a Honda product? if so i guess you do appreciate the amount of workmanship in a Honda-its excellent, but that does not mean that others like the Suzukis and Hyundais are bad

to compare the quality levels on the Jazz and Polo and then to discredit the latter would be foolhardy as the former with its edgy but plasticy interiors does not hold a candle to the latters interiors

Check up in International websites, Honda Jazz is rated No.1 in the world (supermini).  BBC top gear, honestjohn, verdictoncars, whatcar JD power customer satisfaction survey (2008) etc.  But Suzuki Swift is also rated very high and comes within the first five.  Some websites rates Hyundai i10 as no.2 (see BBC top gear and honestjohn).  therefore u can't say that others are not upto the mark, anyway now India is getting world class products

In the premium car hatchback segment Honda Jazz can be compared only with Skoda Fabia, i20 or the upcoming Fiat Grande Punto.

But then again the leg room of i20 is a Korean car after all, can't compare it with a Japanese Honda car.  It would be like comparing a Pakistani with an Indian.

Deepak, the last remark was uncalled for. We are not a 'patriotism forum'. 150 million Pakistanis live in peace doing their own things. Only a handful are a problem, and there are fora to address that issue. Let us not mix things up here, with nasty remarks like the one above.
