Tall bodies are not just for surf boards and bicycles, They can be used for stuff like trees, ironing boards, carpets, large cartons, etc. In India people do communte between Mumbai and Pune quite often by express highway. They have 2 homes and carry stuff to and fro. India too has nuclear families now with parents staying seperate from children.

You realize the importance of having a large boot space in your car only when you own one.

People who are quality conscious go for the 'Made in Japan' tag. Not because they are a fan of Japan, but because they know that every car, any product, every single part thats manufactured in Japan is tested. Testing is done not just by random sampling.  I've worked for Mitsubishi FUSO Japan in their factory in Tokyo.

You gotta pay a price for quality stuff but in India the masses are not willing to shell out a lakh extra coz of lack of awareness or lack of ability to make a huge initial investement.   Maruti is a poor mans car because they are those who compromise on features / quality / image and looks in return for good resale value, cheap spare parts and low maintenance cost.

There are all types of cars to suit different people & budgets.  Honda Jazz (a mere 5-6 lac car) may look cheap when compared to many.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

It is ironic that a Honda fan is trashing Maruti (now Suzuki), again a Japanese brand on the matter of quality Smile

As far as Jazz is considered I doubt anything but the pilot lot will have anything much of Japanese origin.

There is no need to thrash. Maruti Suzuki is behind Honda when it comes to Quality.

I doubt if Jazz would be able to meet the expectation and standars which the other Honda cars has. Even the new city is inferior to its predecessor when it comes to Quality.

Engine specs are looking good.

They have even reduced the price to 4.5 .

I doubt if this was the report on the Indian version.

The first report on Indian version can be found in May 2009 Issue of Autocar India.

Can someone scan the report? I'll try to get one as soon i get hold of the May issue.
