Re-circulation mode is more effective.  Fresh mode is required once in a while to freshen-up the cabin - say, for 10 mins. in every 60 mins. of use.

did you mean  most of the time all are keeping A/C in recirculatin mode only? but in the manual they mentioned recirculation mode use in dust conditon and for fast cooling?

Fresh mode is not that effective, and is required occasional (as discussed before).  Please try/experience both modes - you will realise the difference.

As stated in the manual, recirculation mode is required for better cooling - you can regulate the cooling through the blower speed.  Besides, the auto cut-off will maintain the temperature inside.

In fact regular use of fresh mode will clog the fins due to dust intake over a period of time.

Yes friends, might be the black top a culprit in this case.  But in Alto it shared the same compressor as in Baleno I think.  Hence it cools faster for that smaller cabin.  In Vista it is bigger size cabin, black top and I'm not complaining that it sweats inside, but didnt felt comfortable.

So will be going for front wind shield sun film sooner.  Afraid of fixing it in my area. May be during my next visit to Chennai.

In highways with my Alto I drive in 100 ~ 120 kmph range.  In this trip with Vista, the car easily goes upto 140.  I havent rushed the car but smoothly it reaches 140.  I was driving most of the time in the range of 120 ~ 140 kmph.  Still the car is left with more power, but I will wait for some more time till the engine get set.

At those speeds the car felt rigid.  It didnt hovered.  Even I felt confident pushing the car in curves too.

Nice car and engine in total

Karthe it might not be only the roof after all.

Have a look here, the vista's seems to be having a manufacturing defect.

Quite likely (defect).  The difference cannot be so much for the reasons discussed before (previous page).  Moreover, I also feel - though the size of the car matters, it should still be effective - would take a littler longer time.

Hai friends, I am not compalining a/c is faulty in Vista.  When comparing to Alto, it is a little lower.  In less than a month time, I've done 3800 kms and about 3000 kms was done during day time.  With the a/c in recirculation mode and fan speed in 3 (4 doesnt cools that much) it is not that much comfortable like Alto.  In evening/night with fan speed in 2 and recirculation mode, my family asks to switch off the a/c.

I will be doing mostly highway rides only.  Even yesterday I did about 400 kms - with 100% a/c -  the FE was 15.25 kmpl only.
