hello dear karthe M ji ! first of all let me congratulate you, for getting an indica vista aura! no doubt its a wonderful car, after going thru your thread i came to know that you have changed the head lights of ur vista to some 90/100 bulbs, well dear am also having similar problem with my vista regarding head lamps, i find the long beam of head lights very short , infact the long beam itself appears like the dipper beam !. secondly the lamps are much under powered as well, so am thinking of gettig them changed to some other better ones, would you please guide me as to which brand i should go for? and the power of those head lamps as to how much power should be used ?, so that the existing default wiring and electrical circuits are not changed, would changing the bulbs ony would solve the problem ? or something else needs to be done ? etc etc . if you can kindly enlighten me  about all this i shall really be very greatful to you karthe ji.

waiting for your early response as i mostly drive during night hours, making head lights and illumination with good visibility highly imp for me, also please specify about the sunfilm 3M you have installed on all the car window panes.

with sincere regards and congrats again !

Dr sunil vasant

Without changing the holder and wiring(ie installing a relay) the options are

-Philips vision plus

-philips xtreme power

-osram nightbreakers(not 100% sure about the names)

all are 55w bulbs and gives about 25-50% more light and is a quick replacement job.

There are several bulbs if you are going for relay and holder upgrade-like 90/100w bulbs

Nice photos Karthe. Also Thanks a bunch for answering my qns.

What brand of bulbs did you use? Was any relay used? How is the brightness now?

The bulbs are Philips H1 & H7.  The dimm is 80w only and dipper is 100w.  Yes the dimm is very short.  But now the dipper is very good. Have to use dipper often, sometimes always. They have changed wiring and relay too.  It costed around Rs.1600/- including installation.

The dealer just had only two pieces of 3M film. One was in silver color and the other one is the black I've. Doesn't know the art number or anything else. Heat rejection is really good.  I have garware in my ALTO.  It is still good even after 2 years of installation.  But 3M is very good in heat rejectionCool.  Thinking of installing in front wind screen too. But have to experience before going for it.

After the I service, today I took the car past 120kmph.  On reaching 100kmph, the steering starts vibrating and seems to subdue at 120 kmph.  Does the car needs to be checked for alignment.  But the car is very much stable even at this speed. The shock absorbers too work well. In addition there is no any noise from engine.  The wind noise intrudes into cabin.  The engine is so much refined.

Nice work TATA.  But strengthen your service network in south too. Also make them to be good.

The vibration would most likely be due to unbalanced front tyre's-not because of improper alignment.

Get the front wheels balanced(after checking the air pressure in all four tyres).

(1) Thinking of installing in front wind screen too. But have to experience before going for it.

(2) After the I service, today I took the car past 120kmph... The wind noise intrudes into cabin.

(1) Have a look at this thread - please go through the discussions.

(2) I suggest, avoid driving the car with the door glasses open at high speed - not to avoid the intruding of noise - but to avoid the air pressure & resultantly affecting the mileage due to the extra load. Use of AC on highway is always preferably - it will keep you fresh and the drivability will be better & safe. Use of AC vis-a-vis the open glasses will not have much difference on mileage.

Yes Mr.Binoy, will check air pressure first and then balancing, if needed.

Mr.Pankaj, thankyou for the link & I've already gone through the forum.  What I am afraid about is, the deep curves in Vista's front wind screen. Of course I drive always with the windows rolled up & 100% a/c.  But at 120/130 kmph we could hear wind noise inside the cabin.  There is no any noise or grunt of engine is heard at that speed even.

Mr.Vasant, ofcourse me too a novice, but with 2 year experience with Alto and from forums like this, I get informations.

I have sold my Alto yesterday.

I am for a trip with my family tomorrow morning - about 1300~1500kms. Will come back in a week and share with you peoples,
