There was a slight bulge in the front right tyre Embarassed and I took the car to nearby dealer. He told he will arrange for Good Year personnel to check and replace the tyre, but yet he haven't called up for the past one week.

Is the bulge on the sidewall of the tyre? The same happenend in the sidewall of the Goodyear tyre in my sister's Vista Aura. When we complained to TASC, Goodyear personnel checked the tyre and replaced it on the next day.

I've completed 10000 kms and took my car for 3rd service to CBE on 15th and they changed oil and rotated the wheels and also done alignment on my request.  In the process they changed the front right tyre with bulge as stephney. They also worked on head light focussing. Now the car is so smooth and feels more quiet.  The vibration of steering on toughing 100kmph is not there now.

Regarding tyre replacement, today the good year personnel have taken the tyre and told to wait for a day for him to take some readings to observe is the fault is due to manufacturing fault.  Only then he will be able to tell whether he could give replacement.  Even in that case I have to pay 30% of the tyre cost because I have used the tyre for about 8000 kms when I complained about the fault.

Is it so?

I have a look at the Indigo manza.  I feel manza from vista is better than swift to dezire.  it looks nice and they have offered ABS also.  Will it be possible for them to fix the same setup in my vista.

Yes, it is generally so (on pro-rata basis) if the tyre/part is used significantly like in your case.

Edit: However, please negotiate - it is possible to some extent.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

Thanks for the update Karthe, hope the tyre issue gets resolved.

Goodyear seems to be quite proactive when it comes to warranty issues-Michelin in this regard seems to be more rigid.

Oh! at last after many visits and paying Rs.660/- by DD and in another 25 days time the Good year has replaced the tyre. Smile

I have completed 16000 kms and still the car feels as new. Have done 3rd service in CBE @ 10000.  Nice work by them. Still the engine even doesn't whispers. The shox is fine. Even two weeks back I had a continuous trip of 950 kms in a day (started by 3.30 am went upto Vellore and returned back around 11.30pm the same day) and I loved the journey throughout. The mileage has gone a little up to 17.25 kpl. Only pain is to maintain the white colour in this rainy season.

For sure this is a winner from TATA.

Hi friends HAPPY NEW YEAR to all

i doesnt know why all the insects hit my car bumber n facia.  It is blood stained always after cleaning again & again. Will it be because the White colour attracts more insects.  It is really hard to keep the car clean

Wishing you the same too!

The insect problem would be seasonal/regional, had experienced the same at certain locations at particular time of the year.

My front windscreen get cracked by some flying stone.  Hence took it to a nearest dealer.  Of course 100% coverage available for windscreen but it seems I have to bear 50% for the rubber beading and the tape.  Since the dealer says he doesn't have direct tie-up with the insurer, I couldn't have the cash less facility.  No problem, hope the insurer settles in a week time atleast.
