thats correct. I just recollected that after a source RTO issues an NOC to a target RTO, there is a confirmation between them on the NOC. So it cannot be used for other states. SOrry about that.

Hi,

I want to purchase a car with Mumbai registration.

But the problem is I belong to Chattisgarh and am here at mumbai for only next 3 months. From the discussion i got idea that NOC, and Transfer forms have to be got.

Since I am not having any permanent address (am in Rented accomodation), but have a LIC policy with Mumbai address .

so can the purchase be done.

for getting the transfer done you will have to have a government document like an electricity bill or ration card or passport for address proof. I am afraid the LIC policy will not work
