Doubt regarding year of manufacture and CMVR Cirtificate date

Right To Information Act.

Send one more email to them also attach both the documents which have collected from the RTO. also mention them RTO has rejected the registration stating the mismatch reasons. Have you already contacted SKODA for getting the manufacturing date of your vehicle?

if you have not got any response send the email again till they reply back.

Dear Mr. Jidesh,

This is in continuation to your below mail and subsequent to our telecom. Please find enclosed Form 21 sale certificate attached for your ready reference, wherein it is very clearly mentioned that the year of manufacturing of the said car is January 2009.

Kindly be informed that the said vehicle was assembled at Skoda Auto India Pvt Ltd, Aurangabad in the month of January 2009.

Moreover the date or year mentioned on the windscreen glass or any other part is of manufacturing year of that particular part manufactured outside India.

Similarly the VIN is embossed at our Parent Company in Czech Republic.

Please do not have any apprehensions as you have an authentic document from Skoda Auto India mentioning the actual date of manufacturing of the vehicle.

We request you to coordinate with your RTO for getting the needful done accordingly.

Skoda says Vehicle "assembled" in India on 01/2009

A vehicle which took more than 1 year to sell ?!! Impossible

Also what the date of invoice of this vehicle from skoda to your dealer?

invoice is from Marikar ,  Did not  have a invoice  from skoda .

But the road worthyness certficate ( form 22 ) from skoda says it is  jan 2009 manafactured .

It means The vehicle is manufactured by skoda operating from CzechoSlavakia, Europe..  manufactured in their plant located at Aurangabad (India) in 2008.

The vehicle specific data "CGH1U" may be decoded as Škoda Octavia, [unknown model], 1.9 TDI 66kw..

As per skoda's claim all the parts including chassis with VIN code are manufactured in their European plants.. imported to india and assembled in 2009.. If it is so Skoda must planned.. in which plant the product will be assembled... what will be the variant type .. Ambiante, elegance etc.. type of engine to be added ... diesel or petrol etc before manufacturing the chassis But as per their claim they are not planned in which year it will be assembled..

So this claim is not believable.

But they can come up with a claim similar to - "because of the economic slowdown we have changed the production plan ... That is we have initially planned to assemble the vehicle in 2008 itself and stamped the chassis with the VIN code, but because of the decrease in vehicle sales in 2008 due to the Global economic problems we have rescheduled the production plan and assembled the vehicle in 2009 only... hence the incident"
