Wildon, is there a tool that lets you decode this VIN with such details as you posted for bini Faizal's car?

There are tools/charts available , but the problem is that once it comes up in an open forum manufactures do take action to put that down.

Hi Guys,

I have a nagging suspicion that my Hyundai dealer is trying to sell a car from his unsold stock. The VIN of the car is MALCG41GLAM273143. I request someone to please decode this for me.

One more question please, what are the other details that you can deduce by decoding the VIN? I am curious you know. Also, I thought that in Hyundai cars the tenth character in the VIN is supposed to represent the year of manufacturing but in this case the 10th character is an alphabet and not a number.

If you are asking about this, its the production serial number and for it starts from 000001 -999999.

OR

if you are asking  8. Production year  A : 2010

the letter A  represent the year of production i.e in your case Year 2010
