Kumar,

I would like to bring this thread into notice as you are interested in taking a Skoda car.

@Ami, I am not planning to take the Skoda car for the same reason only. But I wass talking about my experience with the different test drive. If the A.S.S would have been good, obviously Fabia is the easier pick.

Lets see, if the Jazz or Fiat GP can meet the indian car buyer expectations. Actually, I almost booked getz today. But I stopped myself, and have firmly decided to wait for jazz to be launched. after all i will own this car at least for next 3-4 years. So it matters if i go with the new generation technoligically advanced car.

@Sunil, in one of your  post  in this thread u had posted that  i20magna has many more features in comparison to Getz 1.3 GLX !

I had requested you to share atleast a few of those features that are present in i20 magna but not in getz glx, but i could not see your reply till now ??

Could you please enlighten us all ?

(Btw hope u read my post in which i had pointed atleast 8 extra features in Getz Glx over  i20 Mang and yes how could one forget difference of Rs. 50,000(max) between the two )

@Sunil,

Hyundai sales person are least intereseted in selling Getz (in comparison to i20 and i10), because the dealer margins in Getz  as least (because of present day discounts on the car.. just to let you know, whenever there are discounts on a car, the margins are divided between the dealer and the company both)

I had visited three Hyundai dealers before finalising my dealer and car, and out of i20 (which because of no present day discounts) has the highest margins, i10 and getz, the dealers were least interested to sell me the Getz and most interested to sell me i20 (again cos it has no discounts and highest margins)

@Sunil,

When you make the statement that "Do not believe any other when you are spending your hard earned money"

Then i guess you must understand that you also come in "any other" club only.

And if what you write is what u believe, than you must stop posting on these Forums, as you dont want anybody to believe on you !!

@Kumar I had mentioned about Self Esteem in one of the posts which is exactly "Feel Good Factor" & Brand Value. One will think 100 times before buying Logan (even if a car has ride quality & pleasure)

@Aseem nobody is an expection. Poeple  will start suspecting if somebody keep lobbying for one particular car throughout the thread.

Everybody : Please seek information as much as you can from all these sites,Carwale,Magazines like Motroing,What Car etc.

Believe in those people who you know personally.

There are 3 types of Goods for your info.

Search goods: you can evalute thise by phisical inspection(example; bhendi & Bhaingan)

Experiene goods: Can be evaluated by physical experience only(TD of any car + information from existing user known to you in person)

Credence goods : Brand name & Quality (Volkswagen,Rolls Royce,Sony, Ipod etc)

This site is a platform to facilitate various opinions & ideas of current users & experts & prospective buyers.

I personally do not suggest you to buy Getz at this juncture. This is as per my preference and taste. I will rather go for I10 top model or I20 Magna or Swift. Else wait for Jazz&GP.

@Sunil, people might start suspecting, if you are constantly anti-lobbying against one particular car !

You still have not given details for the features present in i20magna which are not present in Getz Glx ?

(aprt from 2din system)

Have you not been able to find any ?

I would suggest alland request all potential buyers referring to this site to have an Open Eye look at Getz and all other cars available in the market and then choose what one feels the best for him/her as per the likes

Sunil/Aseem - l guess the both of your opinions are well put forth in the preceding posts.

Please give the chain of 'opinions' a break, lets take a breather and then slowly get back to the discussion-ok.

Binoy, (infact i have decided to put a stop yesterday and asked Aseem to take it further assuming he will play a dual role)

Yes i agree with you and i will give it a break. I do not say i have wasted enough time becuase if i look back i will have the satisfaction for contributing so much knowledge apart from Car spes which will not be find else where generally.

My selfishness in writing so much is due to the fear that sales people might lure prospective buyers by telling cock & bull stories. When i was in show room for booking I20 the sales man tried to deviate me from I20 to Getz because I20 has lot of waiting period.

It is not fair from my part to say that they have targets for selling Getz which is a slow mover, becasue i do not know the facts. But gather that they will get some commission.

I20 & 10 are pull products and Getz is a push product.

@Aseem  you had a different opinion when i said Self esteem is also part of Driving pleasure and later you have agreed.

You started comparing Air travel when i tried to tell the diffence between Driving pleasure & Ride quality(of course you come down to ground once convinced.)

My request is to be open for more communication & knowledge. What i know is 10/100 of a spect of an ocean. I always remove the metal blockage to eanble me to learn more and more instead of singing the same song throught.

Pankaj Prasad/Binoy/Ami/Venu/Kumar/Assem & other members

Take this opportunity thank you all for valuable inputs.

I had accidentally surfed Carwale while i was doing research on Fiat Linea in Feb09. This site caught my attention ever since and tried to share & gain knowledge on Cars etc.

No doubt this site has helped me during my buying process.

There is no point now to participate as time is precious and one has to focus on other priorities in life.

THanks Carwale team & members.

Keep the enthu alive.

@ Sunil, you sound to be a little 'unhappy'.

Frankly (no offence meant to anyone)... We are not very happy with the way the discussions took place in this thread on personal platform - instead of academic platform. We neither blame you nor do we blame Aseem.  It sometimes happens so - just a part of the forums.  We all are matured enough to leave such things behind us.

@ Aseem, we trust you too appreciate this.

Cheer-up both of you Smile

Both of you keep writing & participating - in other threads too. Thanks.

@Sunil, Agreements/Disagreements are always possible even in one to one personal discussions, so the chances are more in online forum. But we normally do not stop discussing because of disagreements. I feel this is the way we learn more. Whenever time permits, please participate in the forum, so the learning process is always on.

@Aseem, similar request to you also. Keep sharing.
