Maruti Wagon R Duo, Safe or Not?

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to buy an economical car and was looking at Wagon R Duo as an option.

One of my friends told me some points on when he was buying the car:

1. LPG cars cost more on Insurance

2. LPG cars not safe on raod and that's the reason for high Insurance

3. LPG cars could be fatal even in case of minor collision on road

4. LPG leak is a persistent problem in DUO

ARE THESE POINTS VALID.

He told me his dealer suggested Alto over Duo (??? strange, right)

I googled, and have found many posts where people from various countries drive LPG cars for envoirnment and econoical reasons.

So now I'm confused:

1. Is MS Wagon R DUO as safe as any other car

2. Is it as safe as other LPG cars around

3. If I dont need much power, will Wagon R DUO will be VFM
