Warm Welcome to CarWale!

The price seems to be marginally higher, do note tha the engine has been discontinued and replaced by the MJD, so servicing would be a problem in case of major repairs.

Personal opinion is not to invest in discontinued models as the chances of getting our finger burned is higher!

Also please avoid posting in ALL CAPS-thanks.

I would see (through a trusted mechanic) if the engine is in a mint condition and there is no accident damage. There is support for all sort of discontinued models in resourceful private garages, if not found with the ASS.

While Binoy should be right about the price being higher, It overall looks to be a good way to go about a budget constrained first car, provided you are not looking it to give you some driving practice too.

Thanks Binoy and Krishna...

I have droped the plans for the Palio for the time being; do you think a brand new Alto Lxi would be a good deal???

On road, it's coming as 3.09 lacs with a discount of 15k given by the dealer...can LPG/CNG kit be fitted in this car???

What accessories can I bargain for in the car price???
