planning to replace engine

Hi all, i am a owner of TATA seirra , and i am planning to replace the engine. Is it necessary to inform RTA about the engine change and do a new registration. Please guide me thru this

I am not aware with the RTO thingi but am wondering where will you find a new engine of Sierra? Is Tata still producing them or are you trying to buy some used one? Why don't u get ur current engine overhauled?

I am planning to import new engine. i am yet to find the importer. about overhaulin i have no idea

In overhauling, all major components of engine like cylinders, pistons, bearings etc are replaced and engine again starts to work decently. Its very much cost-effective and practical solution than placing a new engine.
