Hi every one i am new to this site. Read few of the comments and found really useful.

I have a budget of 7-8 lacs and want to go for either Ford fiesta or Fiat linea. Linea really looked good but not sure about its after sale service , resale value.

Please give your valued feedback.

I will suggest you Ford Fiesta both in Diesel and Petrol.

Looks wise Fiat Linea rules, no other car in this budget has so killing looks, Fiat Linea even left Honda City behind as per looks are concerned

but performance, riding handling pick-up ford is best.

One major drawback in fiat linea is its rear headroom it is same as Innova's third row seat, which in my opinion is cramped.

Rest if you want driving pleasure and above all pickup than u should go for Ford fiesta(Petrol version).

If it is a petrol verion, I would be more inclined towards SX4 & Fiesta. They are the best in front of Linea. Linea only stands out when it comes to packaging.

The 1.6 S variant of Fiesta is a standout.

Also consider Honda City-2008,

it is the fastest from 0-60, even more than fiesta petrol, but the only problem which i have from Honda is they charge too much, Honda City starting from 8 lakh, and moreover they had given the same engine i-vtec which they had given in the very first Honda City Launched in India(the bigger version than ZX). Than they launch the ZX version now again the same engine. Moreover they are now again about for a price hike.

It is my personal perception that Every car manufacturing company wants to keep themselves inline with the competition especially Honda and Toyotta.

Innova is a obsolete model of Japan, but than also Toyotta Launched Qualis, which is even more obsolete than Innova, for what they were waiting for and why don't they launched Innova before and when Mahindra launched Xylo within a week they launched Innova-2009(no matter with few costmetic changes).

After the launch of SX4, honda launches- City-2008

Indica Vista in competition with Swift (though tata is very latein rolling out indicaq vista, same as Mahindra is very late in rolling out Xylo in competition with Innova)

Sujuki a-star with i-10

same thing happens in mobile phone, lap-top,

and the story goes on

They do charge an exorbitant and un justified premium. On top of that they are again planning to increase it. God knows why.

But once you forget the price the car is awesome and no car in its class can come near it.

Very true Ami, Honda is honda, looks, engine, driving pleasure, mileage & resale, everything is very good.
