peppy is company fitted lpg
most hyundai and maruti dealers provide facility of lpg/cng fitments at their level .. why not ? .. gives them an aditional opportunity to earn extra money
the bait used is 'warranty' .. if you dont fit with us (at 10-20k more than market price ), the warranty will become void ! .. if you have already purchased the car, you are under their clutches .. you have no choice .. but to pay exhorbitantly inspite of their substandard calibre or forgo the warranty . as for warranty, experienced people know that beyond the first 3 months, the warranty is mostly not even worth the paper on which it is written . it provides merely a notional satisfaction, whereas the savings on lpg/cng are real and ongoing
as for calibre, while most dealers are very good at repairing/servicing their cars, many fail miserably when it comes to lpg/cng .. they are just not equipped with gas technology professionals and rely on smalltime mechanics picked up from here n there, unlike their own technicians, all of whom are invariably trained at the parent company most professionally .. also mostly they lack the inventory needed to repair the gas side of the car satisfactorily, leaving the unsuspecting consumer in the lurch
all said .. it is the individual's decision
