i10 or Getz Prime or Santro Xing - which one is the best pick - plz help!

Vista Aura Safire is no doubt the best option in the lot. But my family is not very much impressed with the way the car looks. They found it a little bit similar to the taxi/shuttle cabs (Indica V2) running around the city  . It's their thought and I have to respect it, so I drop the choice of Vista.

Considering my budget and daily running, I think, Getz Prime is indeed a good buy, if not the best! Today I went to the nearest Hyundai showroom with my family to have a closer look of the car and what I felt was awesome. The space inside was like a breath of fresh air. The interior space, the elegant dashboard gives it a look of a sedan from inside. It's a sober car from outside too.

Obviously I've booked the car (GLE 1.1 at 3.59 lacs ex-showroom price) and scheduled to be delivered early next month. After I get the car and run it a little, I'll share my experience with you.

Last but not least, I must thank this wonderful forum and especially you guys for giving your precious time and enlighten me to choose the right car for me.

Ayan, Congratulations on your new car. I hope you are getting the 2009 model and please ensure this.

@ Binoy, on-road price is Rs. 4.02 lacs including Rs.11633 Insurance cost and Rs. 31500 Regn. & RT cost.

@ Venugopalan, I'm not sure how to check whether my car is a 2008 model or a 2009 model (apart from asking the car dealer). Can you please help me out on this?

@Ayan, I think you have a right to insist for 2009 model with your dealer. I read in another thread you can decipher it from the VIN number of your car, so you can ask VIN number of your car from the dealer.

Yes the year and month of amnufacure can be obtained from the VIN/Chassis number.

Can anybody compare between i10Era and Getz GLE? I am confused between these two. I would like to hear what others think.

i10 has better pick-up/acceleration, and mileage too.  Getz has more space/comfort (except for head-room), and better stability/road-grip.  Have a look at this comparison between the two - go through the Specifications, Features & All Features.

Thanks Pankaj, I did not get a chance to test drive Getz. But I like the seating and the space. i10 interiors are fantastic. Probably I will take a test drive for Getz and decide.
