@ gurpreet,

yes the altis automatic is more fuel eficient than the civic & overall a better package than the civic. it has more space, comfort & features than the civic & its A/T is very responsive too.

test drive the passat & a laura too. see wat features is laura offering, its just simply great.

Deepam,

As for the Laura, it is just not the features, it's about a Brand, too. Skoda is not a brand, one looks up to. Agreed, it sells in India, for whatever reasons.

Thanks,

GP

Deepam,

I did check out the Merc C Class, when I bought the Accord. At that time, the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 were not yet out.

The Merc C Class was too small a car, infact, it had less leg space than a Civic, even.

Ever since then the new Merc C Class has come out. Not sure, if it still as tight as the earlier C Class. Also, if the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 are as tight as the C Class, then there is no point, checking them out. One does not want to pay more, and sit tight ;)

Thanks,

GP

the new A4 is good on space & comfort & though the 3 series too. merc may be less on space but there should be no problem in 3 series & A4.

audi has more space to offer.

just go & checkout both the cars & than see is the sapce enough for u or not & than decide.

do u drive by urself or u have an chauffer?

Deepam,

I prefer driving myself, which is why I drive a AT.

I would need a 3rd car very soon, which would be driver Driven, for which I was considering the Innova.

Thanks,

GP

Hi Gurpreet,

You have already enjoyed few D segment cars and now its time to move on. By moving on I would surely suggest you to look for German Cars. Once you have started using those cars, the Japenease siblings would feel more imaturish.

Now for you I would suggest to look either of these three options.

1. BMW 320D

2. Merc C220 CDI

3. New Skoda Superb.

The old Merc was surely missing the pleasurable drive as expected from a Beemer but this newer version has surpassed the old one both on comfort for passenger and the ease of drive.

Now for your wife, If SUV is not very important the VW Jetta AT is the car you should consider rather than Passat. If you really want to stick to SUV than as suggested by others Captiva is the only nice option alongside Outlander. Fortuner is coming in October but I feel that this model is already up and running for the last three years and its high time that Toyota may be looking for an upgrade. Moreover Fortuner seems quite small for an SUV when I drove it in Dubai.

Well,

I think You already had cars one of the best in their segment i.e Civic & Accord.

I would reccomend few options i can think of

1. Jetta & Outlander(Petrol though)

2.Altis & New Skoda Superb( If you can change your mind for New Skoda)

3. Altis & Passat

4. Altis & New Accord( Its still one of the best on offer)

I personally feel that ,you have been enjoying Accord with its Power & space till now its not easy to compromise on space of A4 or 3 series, but since you self drive the car then 3 series is drivers car I would recommned....hence you need to decide on the rear seat comfert secrifice in case of A4 & 3 series. Smile

All the best
