maruti zen new engine

Dear Sir/madam, I have maruti Zen 98 model.Now its time to Overhaul the engine.I am exploring the options,Half engine or new MPFI engine. Can i convert existing engine to MPFI engine using maruti's half engine or can i get new MPFI Engine,How much it costs. thanks Bhskar

Dear Bhaskar,

Why would you go for a new engine? Just get overhauling done, it will be much more cost-effective. MPFI and Non-MPFI engines don't make that big difference that you want to buy a new engine itself. It will cost you too much and resale won't be good hence would be complete waste of money.

my 1999 zen engine has been dead apparently due to a blockage of oil pump advised to change the lower engine and overhaul the head can i get  a new engine for the expected cost of the repair itself is 40000/-

A new engine cant be sourced for  that cost unless you search a scrapyard for an engine from a damaged vehicle. Is the engine MPFi or the Carburetted version?

The half engine assembly costs 30k for the MPfi version, whereas for the older version, it will be cheaper.
