low mileage on honda city zx 2008....help me friends

hello friendz...i own hondacity zx exi..2008 feb model...i am getting low mileage below 12kmplitre almost all the time...my odometer reading is 7k now...i bring my low mileage matter to service ppl aftr second service..they said they will check it..my dealer is peninsular honda trivandrum..i drive 50% in city and 50% highway..my driving style is sedate..changing gears within 2500rpm..still i dont feeel any difference..last time on 6k service i told tht im getting too low mileage..aftr service they tld they cleaned sparkplus n found nothing wrong with my car..last month mileage fall below 10 in city driving...i use ac about 50% onli..i keep  check tyre pressure evry two week..wht should i do now to improve my FE

10 to 12kmpl is the norm for the city in the conditions that you mention.

Have a look at this thread by a fellow member-maybe you can draw some info out of the same.

same problem with me. even lower figures than u. i owm Gxi 2004 model. 40000 km done. new service all replaced plugs air filter tyres, still no improvement. 13 highway 10 city. please suggest

Honda City gives a milage of 10 to 12 only in City driving and these days highways are also very crowded unless these are 4 laned.So you are getting good milage already.Dealers while selling try to convince you in favour of the car that they are selling will overproject and these figures are always suspect.
