 Dear sir,

I have come on GOVT OF INDIA OFFICIAL TRANSFER TO CHENNAI. I was paying road taxes annually in karnataka. According to MV ACT those who are in tranferabale jobs on GOVT OF INDIA service, they need not pay the life time tax but they need to pay taxes yearly thrrough FORM 14. But according to some sources here in chennai, it is found that they are not accepting the Form-14 & there is no Form-14 available in the RTO TAMILNADU WEBSITE. Kindly suggest how to proceed

Hi, I am a central govt staff with a transferable job at any time at part of India. I own a 4 wheeler registered to Karnataka state. I paid yearly tax of Rs.800 in Karnatka one year back. Now I have come to chennai on transfer & not going to settle permanently. While transfer, I was told by Bangalore RTO that for Central Govt staff no NOC are required & they can pay yearly road taxes with the same Registration. But on approaching RTOs of Chennai, opinions are quite different from RTO to RTO and from Officer to Officer. Initilly they agreed to receive yearly payment of tax. Later they changed their words & are telling that I have pay life time tax. Which information is true in this. Please throw some lights on this issue. I am not interested in paying LT nor interested in changing Registarion

Regards,

M.RAVI SHANKAR
