Ask for reverse parking sensors as free from dealer. Bargain hard. Don't tell the dealer that you have zeroed in on Linea. Tell that if you are not getting enough offers, you may take City!

All the best!

I love my car. But I won't say it is the best in its class.

Hi Shaheen/Paddle Shifter,

Thank you guys for the reply.

I am going to commute from Delhi to Gurgaon on a daily basis so I think it should easily be 1500Kms per month and that makes Diesel the best option for me. But I am getting greedy over here and looking for some power with T Jet which is why the confusion. Can you guys also suggest in your opinion good dealer in Delhi ? Please also let me know what are the additional accessory I would need in Emotion Pack apart from the standards which are provided. With so many features I am confused what are standard and what not???

Thanks in advance,

Mayank

Mayank, you may be tempted to go for extra power but believe me. Later on at 1500km/month and that too on highway, you'll miss the diesel engine from Fiat. Linea can give upto 23-24kmpl on highway with 100% AC. And diesel is cheaper too.

As far as power is concerned, Linea diesel has 93bhp@4000rpm and 210NM@1750rpm with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger that offers lots of torque.

Check out Skoda Octavia diesel, even that is 90bhp@4000rpm and 210NM@1900rpm.

With diesels, you get lots of torque in low rpm that leads to much more pulling power in the engine. Do not go by the drive of test drive vehicles. Fiat cars need to be driven well for the first 1000km as they don't come pre run-in from factory. It will be even more rev happy after 4000km and will get more silent too.

Regarding dealer. I'll check out some good dealer in Delhi and let you know.

Additional accessories. I can't think of anything more. Top end is over loaded with features.

You can get- floor mats, mud flaps(avoid them as Linea's mud flaps look truck like), car perfume, sun film(I don't like it as cars these days are already tinted 30%). That's it. You can go for other fancy things like: reverse parking sensors, GPS Navigator from mapmyindia and endless things.

Thanks again Paddle Shifter.

I had this usage issue in my mind and diesel was clear winner. Just wanted to know the T Jet version which is going to be launched is only for petrol variant and nothing for diesel right?

T-Jet is a petrol.

The delivery can be with in 1 day or may take up to 2 weeks. Depends upon the availability of variant you want and the color you like.

Diesel engine of Fiat is fantastic. I consider it as most refined. I have driven many cars including Jetta and Laura, none of them have the refinement of Fiat's diesel. I bet on this.

Refinment- Least vibrations

T-Jet is a fantastic engine too, its technology comes from the VW. Direct fuel injection with a turbo charger.

Diesel car would serve you in fuel cost saving, but the T-Jet will be a pleasure to drive. You will surely enjoy every moment in the car. The difference in fuel consumption between T-Jet and MJD will be 3 to 6kmpl.

I Love German cars and beautiful Italian cars. Favorite car- Maserati Granturismo

I finally got my car on friday evening. There are a couple of things that i noticed-

1) Car had Apollo acceler tyres whereas earlier Linea was coming with Goodyear. (Any idea as to which one is better)?

2) After driving the car for around 15-20 minutes only in the night with headlights on i noticed that car's bonnet in the middle and sides of car near headlamps (the tin part) were quite hot. Dont know its normal in diesel cars as we have only had petrol cars in our family also is it due to the headlights (sides that is) or engine?

I had checked the lights and the heat level on the odo but everything looked ok there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Atul
