Linea diesel churns 85 ps at 4000 rpm and a torque of 203 Nm at 2500 rpm& linea petrol 90ps at 6000 and torque of 115 at 4500 rpm

The diesel has more torque at lower rpm.

though 0-100kmph is almost equal(close to 15.5 sec.)

It is what we think we know already that often prevents us from learning.

Hi All...

This is my First Post on this Forum. I just got my FIAT Linea Dynamic 1.4L FIRE delivered last week. Following are my thoughts on the performance.

1. The design is definitely "Admiration Guaranteed". I'm very happy with the Flemco Red which is damn sexy.

2. Pickup is good for the City Condition. I dont deny the pickup is sluggish but the moment it touch 1500RPM, the car just zooms...

3. Room space in both Front and rear is just awesome

4. Boot space is massive and I even wonder why do we have such a huge cabin...

5. The only problem I see is the Clutch Pedal which is placed too high and I often gets pain while driving during heavy city traffic.

6. Engine noice is abolutely low, AC is real quick. Of course no car can help if the Temperate is 40 Degree Celcius.

7. I can't talk much about the mileage until my first service.

Overall Im very happy to own such a lovely vehicle.

Hi All,

Thanks for your review comments. I am planning to finalise my new car with in a week or two. I am a bit confuse after the reviews regarding services and the quality of the material used in Linea. Is the performance is really so sluggish, I am not looking for a race car but I wants to know how it is in long drive like 1000km trip. My uses are like 1000km per month so I dont want to spend 1.25 lac more for diesel version.

Please suggest is it good deal to go for Linea Emotion petrol.

I have list out -

1. Linea
2. Honda City
3. Chevrolet Optra Magnum 2.0 diesel

Please suggest the best in the segment.

Thanks

Irphan

Hi Irfan

I wouldnt say Linea's Performance is sluggish. The pickup is really good after reaching 1500RPM. Also I've been on highways for arounf 300Kms round trip, and the driving was awesome. I was able to touch 120Kmph at ease and beleive it, you dont feel that your going at such high speed. And the driving was so comfortable. On the Service standpoint, I was adviced to bring the vechicle for the First Service @3000Kms or 3 Months (whichever is earlier) and from that place service for the Petrol version is only at every 15000Kms. So definitely I can forsee my maintanance would be less.

Congrats on your new car. I too am planning to buy this car same color and same model too. Please can you tell me as to is there space for putting DVD/CD player in the central console? Did you add one ?

What freebies/ concession did you get and what was the waiting period?

Any other extra fittings you put inthe car??

Hi All,

This is my 1st msg on the forum. Thanx a lot to CarWale for such a nice forum.

I used the forum a lot before considering my decision to buy LINEA.

Wel I got the same RED Emotion 1.4 Petrol. As Chandrasekar C said the design is the best. But I am very disspointed by the performance of the car, though I hope after 1st service it will be better.

Pickup of the car is very bad... while driving in the Pune city I face problems. I think Fiesta 1.6 ZXI would have been better choice.

Anyways I will keep on posting my experiance.

Vinod.

Vinod,

Wel we have 2 opinion here, 1 says good & 1 says disappointed with Pick.... I am sure you must have Test driven this car for some time before yuo made such an Importent  decision...

As said its always individual perception for any car...
