well...to start with..when i bought my fiat linea..i was super excited..i never thought that buying this car would turn out to be a nightmare..first of all let me compliment you for the car...but...to be very honest...to back up a good car...you need a good team of people who genuinely want to make the company excel..my experience with linea has been so bad that it is beyond words...i had sent my car for servicing..instead of it becoming better..it became worse..things were broken inside the car...the ac duct was broken...i had sent my car as the speedo meter was not working...but when the car returned...it was in a bad shape...if a thing is broken it should be rectified immidiately...but this was not the only cases...i hads that car for about 5 months n trust me...it was at the workshop because of the poor service for more than 3 months...it is sucha shame...once my car got scratched n after i sent it for servicing...the seats were dirty...the mats were
wrong...there were so many things...if thr ws one problem...after each service it used to become more than double...the thing for which the servicing was done was also not done...apart from that the other things had also gone bad...ultimately...my dad got sick of it...n sold it..!!its such a pitty...such a wondeful car..being treated like this just because of poor service and unqualified people...trust me if it goes on like this...fiat is just going to finish...this mail wont make a difference to me...the pain that it has caused me is beyond anything...i just wanted to inform you coz i still believe that the car is great...we ver also planning to buy a small car...i asked my dad about punto...n my dad just said never fiat...imagine...this is a huge loss to the company its so bad...i hoope things are done to correct the current state of the company...frequent complaints also didnt help in india...i hope for some action for the people guilty...to regain
 some of the loyal customers...

It was really a nightmarish experience neha... Linea people really gave you a hard time... though in my case it was different.. those people were really helpful... for three months I asked for a test drive but didn't get any. they would call to give me a time to come to the showroom (which is 20 kms from my house) and when I would call for confirmation no one will pick the phone (including mobile phones) I thank these people from depths of my heart. becaue of them I finally got myself ANHC and I am damn happy. i still consider linea to be a good car...especially in looks but fiat people have decided that they will leave no stone unterned to make it a flop in India. I have a few questions to ask from fiat people.

1 how do you manage to get so many idiots under one roof.

2 what is your modus oprendi

3 I know some guys with IQ in the range of 25-37... should I send them to you for recruitment?

Neha,

Thanks for your experience.I know it will be of great help to people like me who are so much confused between the two cars.

Nikhil it will be also really nice if you can share your experiences with ANHC. I have made up my mind to buy ANHC but I still would like to hear some unbiased views from your end.

Warm Regards

Gaurav Mukhija

hmm...

lets just say..i have both cars - the honda city (not the new one) and have just purchased the linea emotion pack - petrol.

I love the linea - the feel while driving..it feels much safer. I love the blue and me feature. as far as service goes - i think India as a country needs to go a long long way. I wish the linea would give me more mileage though - havent faced any problem with power etc etc in the linea as yet. God help me when I try getting the car serviced. Was treated fairly well when i bought it -

hey had a query - the dealer mentioned that the linea does not have any way to have mud flaps and we would need to make holes in the bod of the car to install mudflaps..is that true? how does it work with other cars?

as for as my honda city - we hate it..the problems we faced during service, warranty claim, etc etc was terrible. even hyundai's service is much better and more customer focussed. The honda service centers take 7-9 days for denting/ painting. Didnt even try to look at theANHC when we had to replace the santro with another car - dont care if its 120bhp - its the worst company to deal with.

hi gaurav

though I own a ANHC, still I admire linea because of its looks and features... I did drive linea after my friend brought it and if I have to give an unbised openion then I would say that driving pleasure is much more in ANHC. As far as service is concerned honda people do act like leaders... I just gave my car for its first servicing and I am more then satisfied with their service. Looks wise though ANHC is way ahead then competitors like sx4 and verna because of its aggressive and sharp styling, still i feel linea looks very royal and gives the feel of an expensive car though it is cheaper then city with a lot more features. but I think ANHC scores in many points... driving is effortless ( I am not talking about just the power... overall driving is better in ANHC) service is way better and if you think of resale value then no other car in this catagory comes near. I was very keen to get a linea but looking at their service standards I decided to buy a city though I still feel linea is true value for money. If you don't want any trouble then go for ANHC. Linea is a fine car but peace of mind will be less as can be seen in neha's experience (unfortunately she is not the only one to go through this)

Dear Nikhil,

I definitely agree with you, I took test drive of  both cars and you feel the difference. Mine will be a self driven car. ANHC is totally effortless. You enjoy driving a ANHC whereas no doubt Linea has lot of features and looks are classic but driving experience was not that great.

Service has always been an issue with Fiat from the begining.

Lets hope they do justice to a masterpiece.

Regards

hmm effortless to drive - try going over a stone and having the breaks fail instantly...mind it not in a rally drive but on the beautiful roads of noida.

my citys windshield cracked within a year - wonder how

the wiring around the battery cost 12k to replace and the company refused to cover it under warranty as they said its because of an engine light installed which the dealer who sold it to us installed for free.. no one at HONDA is willing to even talk on the phone..you have to deal with dealers only.

In the first year of owning the city - it cost me some 70-80k as maintainence.

Safe to drive??? goodness trust me thankfully we were at 10-20km/hr when the brakes failed and we went over a stone - the dealer at noida took 12-15 days to repair the car - apparently the stone had ripped the underneath body of the car. The Honda city is nothing but a phugga car - gives no feel of safety.

Hey Arunima,

Thanks for sharing your experiences, now do you own a Linea?

Ok I will also agree with Arunima that Honda guys are Snoopy whereas the Fiat guys are nurdy, they dont know anything about what they do. So here we have two goods cars with really bad experiences. I think at this pace I might really end up buying none of the two......

I know its gonna be my call but  this is nice way to know what I m getting into.

Regards
