Well its not the gear ratio's that determine when the turbo kicks in.

The VGT in the Linea unlike the Swift application is quite non linear-the full boost perse occurs at much higher rpm.

Thanks Binoy for the points.

I would also say that fiesta is better to drive in city because of better steering.

@ binoy,

yes that only & if the tourbo kicking in would had be around 1800-2000rpm than it would had been a total different story. than it would had been more linear & more fun to drive.

Friends,

In my family we have been driving Fiat since Siena 1st Model. Along with all the other cars.

Fiat Driving is very different then other cars. It all about adjusting the gear ratio to get the best out of it. Its lot different then Japnese & ford cars.

Yes the first feel is its sluggish, if you are on highway you need tp press a bit harder unlike other cars, but once you know your car..... its different story all together. Hyundai may be one of the best responsive engine I have found in Petrol. But with now  with Diesel ,Fiat has much over come this issue. Its more smooth then responsive... thats what I would understand....

I can only say ITS DIFFERENTSmile........

This thread is on different subject but could not resist to write as it was quite HOT...

Technically Binoy has put in the CORRECT & appropriate opinion...I agreee with him

Good things in life are never too expensive.....So called Best things May be.....

Hi,

I got my Linea Emotion Pk Petrol about two weeks back and I would say it is overall very good car.  Itis being much appreciated in exterior and over all design.

About driving confort, I felt similar to what some you have mentioned. It is bit jittery, not much smotth. At high speed, over 60kmph it was better and you get feeling of very stable car.

I did test drive of Deisel and got petrol! Petrol version that time was not available. I have trust, Fiat engine would be good. And in any car you don't get everything. I all features and power you want, price will be higher.

For me, this is value for money car. Driving experience i not great however owning such a nicely designed car is very good feeling.

Before this I drove Innova petrol and I like driving comfort in Innova very much.

By the way, I got Flemanco Red color!

Udai

Welcome & Congratulations Uday.  Like suggested by others, please post/share your ownership review - preferably in Review Section - it will benefit all. Thanks.

Sorry for OT, but just couldn't help posting on seeing Satish's Siena comment -

Right when I was broke and could not afford a bike, I used to eye Siena, and sigh, looking at its beefy styling and aggresive stance - just like the bull in front of the stock exchange in Mumbai (the sensex is in the toilet, but it is a different story).

Pity Fiat had to follow it up with such pedestrian vehicle like Uno, and then after so much of nondescript existence, they again come up with a gem like Linea... life is unpredictable...
