I was just about buy new honda city and meanwhile much awaited linea is launched. I was amazed to see the list of features they are offering. My friends told me to go for New Honda city but i can not resist buying Linea.Tongue out

I have not listed common features which are present in both cars like both cars have distance to Empty Meter, Immobilizer etc.

Both cars are good looking. Linea has Executive looks whereas City has Sporty Looks

Here is a small comparision of LINEA and CITY

Advantages of buying NHC

Better performance (top speed/acceleration)

Less noise

Easy to drive

More spacious on rear(leg room)

More Headroom

Paddle shift (if auto version is selected but will cost you 80k more than linea)

Advantages Of buying Linea (features i am getting in addition to CITY)

Blue & me

Accept calls using car spekers

Dial using voice functions

Store 1000 phonebook enteries for 5 persons

Play music from your mobile

Full function mp3 player include CD Player

Real time fuel efficiency meter

Big size( 140mm longer, 35mm wider than city)

High fuel efficiency that too on diesel

Cheap to maintain

Better interior

Better ride & handeling

Better braking

More spacious on front(knee room/leg room)

Wider tyres

Larger boot

Sun visor on rear

Fog lamps(not sure about city)

Nicely designed steering wheel(equipment u r using most of time)

Ignition key similar to skoda/laura L&K edition

Keyless entry( i doubt honda has manual central locking)

Moreover the Linea Diesel is available for Honda City(petrol) money-that seals the deal for most buyers.

Warm Welcome to CarWale.

Linea all the way....................

No doubt about it. Try and grab the current edition of 'Overdrive'. They have City vs Linea head 2 head.

You'll buy Linea at the end.

I would say that you'll only miss the 'paddle shift'.

Saw the Linea today. It really seems a very smart VFM car.

The features are already listed above.

The pricing starts from 601455/- ex showroom Delhi for Petrol while the diesel starts from 692342/-

I feel all the cars in this price range are going to be effected mainly Honda City which seems overpriced to me.

Correction...

The aboce prices mentioned were Ex-showroom Noida.

The starting Delhi Prices for Active models are 688983/- for diesel while 598967/- for petrol.

Jagdeep, Linea is an amazing. It has great rear leg room as well. And the car is very reliable. If you travel a lot go for the Linea diesel or else the Petrol. But Linea is a better option. I had been to the Linea launch party as well. (Yesterday). Great car to go for.

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

Moreover the Linea Diesel is available for Honda City(petrol) money-that seals the deal for most buyers.

Infact, when we bought Fiesta, just because of our usage we considered this Price Factor, hardly 50k more and we are getting a Diesel car with good enough features. So, Diesel V/s Petrol, main difference one can feel at Petrol Pump.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Also one major difference between Linea and Honda city is the power. City comes with 115 PS but linea has 90 PS. Ofcourse considering other features and looks Linea wins the race.
