there are so many -Ve in Linea=>

Low service n/w,low resale, high maintanance,no tubeless a lot many more can be checked at cawale itself in compare cars.

I disagree with the high maintenance. The Linea is a very reliable car. which car offers 1st service after 15,000kms? This speaks about the reliability of the car.

I will prefer the Linea over the Swift DZire. I'm convinced with the durability of the Fiat cars. I have myself being using Fiat Palio. And Fiat has launched Linea with an aim to make India as its hub for exports as well. So, they will pay a lot of attention from now on to its dealer network. Fiat already has 70 dealers across 47 cities and by the end of this year it will have 100 dealers. As the Linea is very reliable it won't need to be serviced very often and hence this car was first launched right away.

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

well ders no doubt dat the Linea wud b better equipped than ne of its cars b4.....

ofcourse 15 k service frequncy means one need not visit the service station every now n den.....

bt what we wer dicussing ...abt the claim ...dat it'll last for abt 2.5 lakh kms....THAT was an over estimation !

Linea as a product is excellent-the best car in the 6-10 lac segment.

But the product alone does not make the company-sales and service is critical and in this region the combined Fiat-TATA undertaking has been underwhelming in most situations.

Hope all this changes now and that the Linea receives the credit and success that it truly deserves.

Gurmeet,

Always look at the power and torque they produce and not the CC.

They power/torque is sufficient for the cars under consideration.

Diesel Linea's Power / Torque "is" Bad.

what does Power / Torque means. why it is bad . what is its ideal value. different cars have different torque at different rpm. eg swift 190@2000, verna 235@1900 linea 203@2500 similarly power

Fiat should have at least one Dealer in each Metro cities. Tata may continue as it is for sales and service. From these exculsive showromms customers will get proper attention. Because in Kolkata I have seen if you inquire about Fiat cars in Tata showrooms the sale persons are usually quite reluctant to give you demo and details. Their attitude becomes that only a Foolish can buy a FIAT.

Also Fiat should start exchange facility by giving good resale price to existing Fiat (Palio, Sienna, Petra) owners. This will remove the fear of poor resale value.

Very well said Subir.

Infact at Linea's press conference, these were the questions that i had asked.

The answers they made were only on the basis of promises, they are investing alot ,and taking alot of interest in giving complete knowledge and technical know-how to the Tata Engineers in terms of sales, and after sales services.

Rest as i said, only time will tell. Because INDIA is one country where, if the Customer does not go home with a Smile, there's a guarantee, that the Company won't smile.

My best wishes for Fiat ! May they make all the customers smile !

Cheers !
