Gurmeet,

Always look at the power and torque they produce and not the CC.

They power/torque is sufficient for the cars under consideration.

This is all set for an impressive entry to our car market (But the features listed would only be in the top version) but still looks a good bet. But has to be backed up by better after sales service . The association with Tata isn't working at all !

One thing I noted though. It is being launched in only 4 colors now. White is surpisingly missing. Personally I think the white Linea would have looked great !!

The car is very reliable. First service after 15k kms. you can imagine how high the standards will be. Fiat has 70 dealers right now and will expand to 100 dealers very soon.

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

White colour will be highly missing. I feel that is the colour that is selling the most across all cars.

@Gurmeet: Right now the service is ok ok to below average. It again depends on the place.

Anyways it is expected to turn out good from now on.

I've had so many friends of mine have so many bad experiences in terms in after sales service (most of them for Palio since that was one car I still believe is a good overall car but is not backed up by good service). So I doubt they can gear up fast enough to turn it around when Linea is out. I hope they do but honestly have little hopes. Anyway I do feel linea is going to make good numbers intially. but in the longer run.. well lets see.

P.S. the experience I am talking of are in Delhi where it should be close to their best.

Service experience of Tata-owned Fiat service-centres hasn't been satisfactory to me. I won't say it was pathetic in terms of quality. The workshop tried to maximize his profits everytime I went to them. But considering the fact that we don't go to service-centres every day, we can discount it a little. I would love to buy a Linea as I love my cars. A little after-sales-service problem and a little bad resale is bearable over a period of five years or so.

Only thing is I am not a very big fan of sedans. So probably Grande Punto is what for me. Smile

Can somebody please explain how to make sense of the terms 'bhp' and 'torque'. How good or bad are the values of 85-90bhp and 115Nm(petrol) for linea, considering its weight.

Hi Friends,

Just checked out the prices Ex-Showroom Thane and found this (petrol prices)

Petrol
Linea Active Linea Dynamic Linea Dynamic Pk Linea Emotion Linea Emotion Pk
621135 653206 682173 694588 724589

The difference between Linea Dynamic and Dynamic Pack is Rs. 28967, and the site mentions the only difference to be CD/MP3 FM System. Does the music system coming with Linea costs so much? I have seen it and I didnt felt so. If there is blue&me in Dynamic pack then its ok, else is dynamic pack is not worth the extra cost?

Also the difference between Emotion Pack and Emotion is Rs 30000 where in u get Steering mounted audio controls and Alloy wheels and dual Airbags and blue&me. So is the Linea music deck worth 4 Alloy wheels+2 Airbasg+audiocontrols+blue&me ??
